{{This is for anyone and everyone. If you're here to fight, do so, if not, just enjoy hanging out with friends. YOU DO NOT NEED TO FIGHT TO POST HERE }} Aric was pumped for tonight...He was ready to see what kind of competition he was up against. He hadn't done any working out that day, but for the past week, he was getting ready for the big night. He was preparing himself both mentally and physically for one night. He was in his apartment when he got a text 'Abandoned Warehouse. 8 pm sharp. Get there early if you are fighting' It must have been a mass text because anyone that knew Aric, knew he would be fighting that night. When he got the text, he knew it was go time. It was only six o'clock, but Aric began to get ready.
He took a quick shower and did a quick shave afterward. He then walked to his room and got dressed. He was wearing a pair of navy blue basketball shorts with a two and a half inch light blue stripe down the sides. He threw a black shirt on, that fit his body quite well. He then got a pair of his running shoes and slipped them on after a pair of socks. He then grabbed his wallet, keys, and phone from his dresser and went down to his car. He slipped into his 2002 Mustang GT, supped up by yours truly. He then started the engine, letting out a loud rumble, and made his way out to the abandoned warehouse.
When he arrived, there was already a grip of cars and people there, how many would there be? It was about 7:30 at this point, and Aric needed to register. He grabbed his blue MMA gloves from the front seat and made his way inside. Aric was let through with no problems and he was able to register quickly. When he finished, he made his way to the blue mats the crowd was surrounding. He was the first to fight, no big deal. He got to the corner of the mat and took off his shirt, handing it to a girl in the crowd and he kicked off his shoes and pulled off his socks and tossed them aside. He waited for his opponent to get to the matted area and started to jump up and down a bit to warm up.
Aric watched as the crowd separated a bit, letting the new fighter through and Aric waited to see his face. The man that had walked through the crowd was almost the same size as Aric, maybe a bit bigger. When the match was about to start, a teenager walked out and called out "Normal rules apply. If you're caught cheating, immediate DQ. Let's do this thing!" The crowd yelled and cheered. Aric put his gloves on and strapped them up, and the other fighter did the same. The tension built with the crowd and the fighters for the fight to start. {{I'm going to wait for some other posts before I get the fight going. I'd rather have a group of people to actually RP with, rather than just myself. Also, I do my fighting by myself, unless someone requests to fight Aric, but at least let me get this first one out of the way }}

Stephanie couldn't believe it had taken so long to put up her usually untamed hair as she normally just tossed it back in a ponytail. Tonight she had felt like giving herself an up-do even though she had nothing planned and didn't think anyone outside of her suite would even get to see it. Just as she was done putting the last bobby pin into her bangs to keep them back she heard her cellphone start to go off. One of her friends from the males soccer team had gotten the location of a notorious fight night and wanted Steph to tag along with him, and of course Stephanie was curious about just how much fun these nights can be. Her friend seemed to love them, so she took a shot as she stuffed her phone into her jeans pockets and also grabbed her wallet to slip it in her back pocket. She looked for her keys and found them under an open book on her desk, she was supposed to be doing homework tonight but there wasn't a chance that was going to happen anymore, so she rushed from her room locking up behind her as she made her way outside where her friend had been waiting.
It didn't seem to take them long to reach the abandoned warehouse as she listened to all of the stories her friend had to offer about his previous fight nights. He had told her about that one time that he decided to give it a shot, and how in that same night he had retired because he just couldn't stack up to the other fighters. When they reached the warehouse both became silent though as they were pointed to a spot to park, and once he pulled his keys from the ignition she immediately opened her door stepping out letting the crowd bowl her over from their screams and chants. "Are we late?" She asked her friend as he started to run motioning for her to follow. Jeans were not the easiest things to run in but she kept up well, and when they reached the crowd he looked over some of the smaller people and told her they were just warming up. "What, I can't see a damn thing. I'll be back." She told him as she walked around the side of the crowd and found an opening, or more like she made one as she sneaked past a few of the people to see what was going on in the front. This had been her first night at one of these things and she was sure as hell not going to miss any of the action. "Excuse me," Steph said as she squeezed through another small space in the crowd and was at the front witnessing the men getting ready to fight.
When she looked though she only had saw one standing there, but not moments after her confusion the crowd broke in half letting another fighter onto the mat. She looked both over sizing them up against one another, but one thing she knew was the never underestimate the smaller one. Stephanie couldn't pick which one was likely to win because she hadn't seen either of their techniques, she had no idea what each could do in these events. She was about to find out though, the kid stepped out to call the shots before ducking back off of the mat and you could feel the adrenaline pick up all around her as the crowd just started to cheer louder and louder, chanting some odd thing that Steph couldn't understand because each were way out of sync it sounded. She figured she'd been in the front so might as well make it look good, she looked around and followed the roaring cheers that the others in front had been doing.

Fight Night, Spencer was the least physical person and even he had to come when he heard where it was going to be. Two teen kids were bragging to one another about getting that text message, and here he thought you were supposed to stay hush hush about these events. Those kids didn't deserve that mass text, stupid people like them would get the authorities involved and would ruin the entire night. Spencer wanted to get there early because if word did leak out about it's whereabouts they would cut the night short, and he wanted to at least see one fight. Even if he didn't agree with the physical aspect of fighting he couldn't help but love the act between two other people. Spencer was the nicest man you could meet, but when it came to things like this he could turn into quite the fan.
He didn't bother to change since he'd checked the time and it had already been nearly 6:30. The warehouse had been a pretty long walk so he had to start now, so he grabbed his coffee and started out the door in the direction of the building. He kept his pace up wanting to get there in enough time to not miss the first match, and when he found the trail outside the city limits that would lead him to the warehouse he turned sharp and started down the path. He heard three cars roaring past him and stepped out of their way, and watched as one vehicle stopped ahead of him. A head poked out the window looking back at Spencer. "In the car, killer." They called to him and since he wanted to get there as quick as possible he accepted the ride. "You going to fight tonight? Think you'd win?" The girls in the back asked him, Spencer looking confused as he looked between both. He shook his head drinking another sip from his coffee as the vehicle slammed on it's brakes once it reached the abandoned warehouse. "You should think about it, guns like that are weapons of destruction." One of the girls said as she jumped out of the car and ran towards the building.
Spencer shook his head again, he couldn't see himself standing up to anyone here. He had never been a fighter, he'd get beat with the first blow to the face probably. He just stayed silent giving the driver a nod for a thank you and jumped out the back of the car heading towards the building. He was pretty tall so he could see over a huge crowd that had already gathered around the mat, and when the people parted ways for the second fighter Spencer snuck behind him to get up closer to the mat to really see the action. He looked around and took note of all the girls that were there screaming their lungs out for the fighters, the bad boys always seemed to draw them in. He took the last sip of his coffee and looked around for a place to throw his cup, and ended up placing it beside his foot so he wouldn't have to hold onto it.

Aric rocked his neck from side to side, semi stretching it out. He then stretched his arms and watched as the other man did the same. Aric guess this guy was a little older, but age didn't matter in fights, unless there was a lot more experience involved. This guy looked like he was just trying to prove himself, but Aric was there to win. He was sure that most of the people at this fight night knew that Aric fought in classes. Anyone that was willing to try against Aric, he would definitely respect them. Aric was a great fighter...He had been doing it for years and he knew a lot of techniques. Sure there were better fighters out there, but Aric hadn't met any of them yet.
Aric looked around the crowd and saw some faces that he recognized. One of which was Stephanie Davis, he didn't know if she knew him, but Aric had heard about her, so he knew her name and face. Aric also saw Spencer there, he kind of knew Spencer, a few greetings here and there. He nodded toward Spencer. Aric would have never guessed that Spencer would be here, he didn't know he was into fighting.
Aric turned his attention back to the other fighter and waited for the 'judge', term used loosely, to get back onto the mat and start the fight. When he did so, he backed up off of the mat into the crowd and watched the fight. Aric took a few steps in toward the other fighter and got into his blocking stance. The other fighter did the same and held up a weak blocking style. Aric waited for the other fighter to swing first, which took a few moments. Aric dodged the sloppy punch and Aric threw a jab to the fighters right glove, and smiled a bit. "Ready?" He asked the fighter in a fairly loud tone.
Aric threw his right foot toward the fighter's side and connected with his ribs, making the fighter cringe a bit, but he got back to the fight. He threw a punch and connected with Aric's left cheek and threw another hook right after, but Aric blocked it. They backed up off of each other for a moment, then the other fighter threw all of his weight into one of his punches, leaving himself open for an uppercut to his side from Aric. He held his side for a second then went after Aric. He took Aric down to the ground and started to punch at Aric. Aric was blocking his face, but he was taking some rib shots from the guy. He didn't hit very lightly, the guy was pretty tough.
Aric finally decided he had taken enough. He grabbed the man's head and pulled him toward his chest, but the man continued to hammer at Aric's face, connecting multiple times. Aric was pushing through the pain and he finally pushed the man off of him and they were both in the standing position again. Aric's face was a bit red from the hits and the guy had actually busted Aric's bottom lip open on a lucky hit, but it wasn't bleeding much. Aric started throwing punches at the fighter's body to where that was all he was blocking. Aric then threw a right hook to the man's left cheek and connected powerfully. He then switched his stance and threw his most powerful kick to the man's head, hitting him in the perfect spot.
The man dropped instantly, unconscious. Aric let his guard down and the crowd started to cheer. All together, the match lasted about four minutes and Aric won by KO. He wiped the little bit of blood from his lip and smiled a bit toward the crowd and his eyes got caught in Stephanie's. He then blinked and shook his head...That was weird. Aric then stepped off the mat and took off his gloves while the fighter was being woken up by the 'judge'. Aric grabbed a bottle of water that one of his friends was offering to him and he took a sip. Time to watch another fight while he waited for his next fight. His eyes scanned the crowd again and saw Stephanie again and smiled a bit.
People were coming up to Aric and patting him on the back and telling him good job. Aric put his shirt back on and a coupke more people congratulated him, some girls giving him hugs, and some of the guys shaking his hands. He was also receiving some dirty looks from some of the bystanders. Aric would need to watch his back when he left, especially if he went on to win. He had a feeling that he would probably get jumped. {{Stephanie, if you don't want me to have Aric try to hit on you, let me know...I figued it might help the story along though. I was thinking they could be good friends or something after this...If not, that's cool, just PM me. }}

Stephanie and Aric's eyes met moments before the fight and she gave him a smirk with an accompanying wink wishing him luck. She wanted to watch a good fight and from the sounds of the crowd she knew this man could give her quite the show. Right as the 'judge' stepped back onto the mat Steph listened to the dull roar of the crowd as she watched him give the go ahead and back off the mat leaving the two alone to show each other their worth. The gloves pulled up from their sides blocking their faces as the dance around the mat started, Aric seemingly taken it slow at first letting the other tag the first hit. Steph flinched as each threw their hits, she couldn't understand why each would want to take such a beating. Steph watched as both their hits seemed to pierce the other, their bodies caving with each blow but them standing stong against one another.
As the other man pulled Aric to the mat she could hear the crowd start to roar, Steph in a shocked state as she stayed silent watching both men attack each other. This seemed to be where Aric would lose being pinned as the other pummeled him with quick blows, but soon he'd pushed him off to where both were standing again. Smooth move she thought as she watched some blood pour from his lip after another blow. That one is going to hurt in the morning, again she flinched but soon she watched Aric turn on the man to show his brute strength. The kick to the side of the head leaving the man motionless on the floor had been the end of that battle, Aric had claimed his victory and even someone like Steph had to be impressed. As he left the mat Steph kept watching the other man alone on the ground as the 'judge' rushed to wake him from his unconscious state. She watched him as after a few solid attempts the man on the mat started to stir but stumbled unable to stand up right off.
Her eyes searched through the crowd trying to find her friend that she had came with, but the taller man was nowhere to be found. She pulled her phone from her pocket and sent him a quick text message asking where he'd been, and soon she started to move through the crowd trying to find a break so she could return to the back in hopes of finding that friend of hers. She looked around and that is when she saw Aric standing there getting all the love from the crowd, especially that from the women that all seemed to rush over to hug him and show their affection. Jason can wait I guess, Steph said not feeling the need to rush to her friend in the back as she stepped closer to the victorious gentleman fresh off the mat. She slipped her phone back into her pocket as she stepped even closer, the girls backing off some as they rushed to bare witness to the next fight that was already getting set up.
"Not too shabby," She said stepping up to him with a grin as she watched another girl push past her to give him a quick hug before returning to her group giggling. "You have quite the fan-base," She said nodding towards a group of girls that were watching him. "You got a little blood on your chin." She smirked bringing her hand up close to his chin but not touching it. She could see the beat red marks that had been left on him from the match just barely, to her they looked brutal and probably killed pain-wise, but he didn't seem to mind from the expressions on his face. "I'm Steph, not that you care." She laughed some and held her hand out giving an introduction to the winner.

Aric continued to thank the group of people for supporting him. He received a few more hugs and hand shakes, but this definitely wasn't his style. He hated having people hang all over him after fights. He enjoyed it because of what it was doing to his reputation, but when it came to everyone just being around him during fights, it got annoying. When the next fight started, Aric sighed a bit in relief when everyone turned their attention back to the new set of fighters. There was still a small group of people around Aric, but it was the normal group of people that hung around Aric at fights, which he didn't mind. He started to joke around with the small group when he heard a female's voice nearby.
He normally didn't hear 'Not too shabby', he normally got a 'Great job!' or 'Way to kick that guy's ass'. It was nice to hear that, this person was probably normal. He looked over and saw Stephanie and he smiled a bit, trying not to open his lip up again. "Well th..." He began, but a girl pushed through and almost tackled Aric. He caught himself and gave the girl a quick, one armed hug and lifted his arm. He turned his attention back to Stephanie "As I was saying...Thank you" He said with a smile. He glarred back at the girl jokingly and then looked back at Stephanie.
"Yeah, I guess. I don't even know half of the people that come up to me...It's kind of awkward." He said looking at the group that was watching him. Aric heard Stephanie's comment and he brought up his hand, in a loose fist and wiped the blood from his chin, then wiped it on his shorts "Thanks" He mentioned to the girl. He brought his shirt up and wiped his forehead that was sweating a little bit. He shook the girl's hand "Well it's very nice to meet you Steph. And I do care. You are actually introducing yourself. I respect that. It's not very often that people take the time to introduce themselves after fights. They usually just hang around to get noticed. But it is very nice to meet you Steph, I'm Aric" He said with a light smile, trying not to show all of his teeth, they might have blood on them.
"You want to grab a water with me before my next fight? It's in about fifteen minutes, gives us plenty of time to talk and hang out." He said. He noticed that he still had his water in his hand and he tapped one of his buddies on the shoulder. "Want your water back bro?" He asked, handing it over to him before he could even answer. Aric looked back to Steph "What do ya say?"

"Ackward?" She quirked a quick brow in his direction laughing just slightly. She had never found it to be ackward when fans rushed the field to congratulate her at the end of her soccer game, but then again she didn't have them all hugging her and hanging on her like he had. She could see where that could get ackward, her adjective she would have used would be aggravating though. She hated when people hung all over her just for attention, those people weren't even worth associating with in the first place. "I guess you can call it that." She said with a shrug giving him a grin. "Well I always knew I was different." She laughed shaking her head as her hand slipped into his and she shook it before replacing it back at her side. "Aric, I might just have to remember that one." She said referring to his name. She had met so many people in her time, most of them she'd lost their names because they had just left without a warning, but he seemed good enough for a memory. Especially after the brawl that had just happened.
The first place Steph looked was at his water as he asked if she wanted to get some. She was about to point and let him know they wouldn't have to go far, but just as soon as she opened her mouth he was passing off the bottle to another person near him. She looked at the other man that had the confused look on his face, but she thought she would just play along at first and not call him on it. Instead she went to give him a nod when her pocket started to vibrate. "What the-" Her hand clenched onto her pocket before tearing her phone out. "Who in the world?" She looked down at the number and saw that it had been her friend that had been there with her, just a text message though. "You mind if I just read this?" She asked flipping the phone open easily but shutting it when she remembered he'd only had fifteen minutes. "Not important." She told him not even caring what her friend had to say for those few minutes, she'd check when Aric went back on the mat.
"So lead the way," She wondered if it had been obvious that this had been her first time at a place like this. She walked beside him as he lead her towards where they needed to be. The best part was being able to walk through the crowd as they parted around them to let him through. She remembered back when she had to squeeze through them just to get close to be able to see the damn thing in the first place, this was a pleasant change. "Wait, I have a question for you." Her hand went to his arm stopping him in his tracks as they walked. She had to stand straighter to get a better height because he had been taller than her by a good solid few inches at least. She leaned as close as she needed to in order to be heard over the crowd. "What do you think he'll do with your water back there?" she asked with a smirk as she dropped back down to her normal height trying to hold back another small fit of laughter. She had to let him know at one point that she'd caught that rather slick move. "I seriously think you confused the hell out of that guy back there." She let go of his arm and dropped her hand to her side as she again started until she'd reached where the waters had been.

Aric nodded with a 'yeah...it's awkward' kind of look on his face and a smile. He hated having people just trying to build their reputations by being around him. They had their own personalities...Why not be themselves? He laughed a bit at her comment about remembering his name "Well I hope you do. I'll remember yours" He said with a semi-smile on his face. "Unless you plan on leaving town anytime soon, we should start hanging out. I don't plan on goin' anywhere for a long time...I like it here" He said reassuring his introduction with her. He really did like Pleasant, it was really...Well, pleasant. There was a lot to do here, and he already knew a ton of people, but he was always up for meeting more.
Aric watched as she pulled out her phone "Nah, go ahead. He said while he waited a second before she put her phone away. He looked a bit confused and smiled "You sure? If you need to take it, it's cool. We have plenty of time." He said. He didn't want her to blow someone off just because he asked her to get some water with him.
Aric smiled "Alrighty, stay close...I don't want you getting lost in here." He said before laughing a bit. Aric could tell that she hadn't been here many times, if at all, but that didn't matter. Aric started walking toward the drink stand, people letting him walk by without having to push through. It was almost like the Red Sea while they walked through. He looked over and made sure that Steph was still beside him. He continued to walk a few more steps before he felt an arm stop him. He automatically thought someone was wanting to avenge their buddy from the previous fight, but the hand was too small to be a man. Then he thought, Another hug...' But he looked over at his arm and saw Steph's hand "Yessm?" He asked jokingly.
Aric let a smirk come across his face and a laugh bellowed out at her question "Well, I'm sure he will probably drink it...Maybe pour it on someone...Or give it back to me when we get back. But either way, I am guessing it'll be gone when we get back. He said knowing that she caught him. "And I am pretty sure I did confuse him, but I think he got the idea when we started walking away." He continued walking toward the drink area and he Aric was offered a spot at the front of the line. One of the guys in line saw Steph next to Aric and decided to try to make her get out of line. When Aric heard the guy he turned around and looked at Steph then back to the guy in line "Hey! She's with me bro...It's cool"
He turned his attention back to the drink tender and called out "Two waters Joe" Aric started to reach into his pocket to grab his wallet, but the man behind the stand handed him the two waters and waving his hand "No need to pay Champ...After every win you get tonight, I'll get you a water, no biggie." Aric smiled and nodded toward Joe "Thanks man" He then turned his attention back to Steph and handed her one of the waters "There you go madam" He said playfully.

Steph shook her head when he mentioned leaving Point Pleasant. "I have been here since practically day one so I have no intentions on leaving. That is unless if some professional soccer team picks my ass up, them i'm out of here in about six seconds flat." That was no lie. She would jump at the chance to play any other sort of soccer other than on the college team. It wasn't that she didn't appreciate her spot on the colleges team, she just knew that in a few more years once she grabbed a degree she'd be done and would have nothing else to look forward to. Right now it had been all about soccer, nothing else seemed important in her life, so she'd be lost without that sport to fall back on. "Maybe you could teach me some of those cool moves of yours." She teased, Steph's thighs and legs were powerful so she might be able to get a good kick off, but when it came to upper body strength she was weaker than she had hoped. When conditioning she worked mostly on her lower body though because soccer was basically all in the legs, so her arms took the back burner in that case.
Steph didn't bother saying anything else after he'd answered her about the water. He pretty much made it clear and there was nothing she could think of, so she just walked with him careful through the crowd until she saw the drink area. She was impressed that someone would offer a spot for him, there had been quite a line and still they let him push to the front, but when the man behind her spoke up to try to get her forced back out of the line she stepped immediately back not wanting to piss anyone off here. Especially the men, the last thing she needed was to get pushed or assaulted in any way. She found it funny that her mind initially went to him laying a hand on her, most men at least had the morals enough to not hit a woman, or at least she'd hoped so as she somewhat hid behind Aric. When he had told the man she'd been with him she'd felt better and stepped back out from behind him pushing herself back to her initial spot giving that other man a slight smirk. She would have mouthed something to him but that had not been the time, not after she'd shown to be a coward just barely.
She paid close attention to the man handing out the drinks. Joe had been his name, or at least that had been the name Aric had used to get his attention. Steph stayed silent though as she stood in line watching the sweaty person bouncing around getting each their drink of choice. Steph couldn't help but smile again when the man just gave the waters to Aric letting him know there'd be more where that came from if he'd kept winning. When her newfound friend had passed her the bottle she immediately unscrewed the plastic cap and took a sip. She hadn't even been that thirsty but he had gone through the trouble of getting her one so she might as well drink it. "Thanks." She spoke as the bottle was still pressed to her lips.
When they stepped out of the line she looked around before bringing her attention back to him. "I guess the next question would be how much do you expect to win tonight?" She asked curiously as she placed the cap back on the water and swung it by her side. "Let me guess," She said putting her free hand to her chin as she pretended to ponder for a moment. "You're one of those cocky ass men who think they'll win every match?" Steph didn't mind those men at all, she actually prefered them to be that way. She was, she knew she was good on the field and had no problem boasting to anyone that would listen.

Aric smiled and nodded a bit "Yeah, I think if I was to get sponsored and asked to move to keep the sponsorship, I'd probably do it He told her. He could definitely understand leaving somewhere to get bigger and better things, he felt the same way. When she mentioned that he should teach her a few moves, Aric nodded "Yeah definitely. With you playin' soccer, you could probably knock me out with a well positioned kick. Hell, I know you could leave a bruise at least. If you could somehow work a scissor kick into a fight, it's a guarantee that you would knock someone out...Maybe not me, but an average person" He joked. Aric knew he was a good fighter, he didn't like to brag about it, but he loved to make it sound like he didn't know how.
Aric moved out from in front of the line and unscrewed the bottle cap and took a large drink. He was thirsty from the last fight, it would come in handy if he kept winning. When she approached him with the question, Aric smiled slightly "Well...I wouldn't say I'm a cocky ass guy that thinks I'll win every match" He paused for a moment and put a serious look on his face, but it was obvious he was joking as well "I am just a guy that knows he will win every match. Lets just say I haven't lost a match in over three years. I have yet to find an opponent out here that can take me out. I'm hoping to find that particular guy tonight..." He said to Steph.
Aric liked winning, but he wanted a serious challenge when it came to fighting. A lot of people that came to these fights, only knew one certain fighting style, and it wasn't fun after a while. Suddenly, a loud "OOOOOO" Came from the crowd and Aric looked over to someone in the group. They looked back at him, threw a punch into their hand and put their hands up to the side of their head and pretended to sleep. Aric turned his attention back to Steph "Looks like there was another knock out...I may be having to fight a little sooner than expected." He said looking back toward the mat. "So you play soccer? That's awesome, I need to go to a few games...Watch the soccer champ show me how to play" He said with a smile.

Steph stood there shaking her head as she smirked taking the bottle and tossing it between her hands. "Don't worry, fighting isn't really my thing." Steph hadn't been in too many fights in her life. There had been those few girls back in high school that had jumped her from a rival school, Point Pleasant did take soccer seriously (or at least the students playing did). Steph hadn't done too well in that match but hurt them where it really mattered, the scoreboard at that later game when her team crushed theirs. Her bruises had healed and yet the scar she'd left in them was permanent, in the end Steph felt as though she had won. "I'm not opposed to being around it though. Seems entertaining enough."
She laughed a bit as she listened to him talk, and his last sentence confused her. "What?" She asked mostly to herself as she re-played what he had just said in her mind before looking at him with that curious smirk on her face. "You want to find someone that can knock your ass out? You sure you haven't had one too many hits to the head hotshot?" She asked, teasing him some remembering some of the blows he'd taken earlier. "So you take a bath in a full tub of ice cubes after each night or something?" She asked, she put ice on her knee after a long practice and could only imagine what he would have to do for an entire bodyache. Either that or he'd been so used to it it didn't even hurt anymore. The more she talked to him the more she was curious about his lifestyle, this ultimate underground fighting the entire community seemed to thrive after. "How bad does this stuff hurt anyway? For you that is, it hurts like a bitch to us average folk." She gave him a wink throwing back the word he'd used earlier when talking about who she could actually hurt. She heard a loud sound roar through the audience as she looked around to see what it had been.
Her eyes darted quickly to try to see the mat but she had been too short to peak over the people infront of her. She ducked down some so she could see through some people arms as she witnessed one of the men laying flat on the map. "Does ever match end with a complete knockout?" She asked curiously looking back at Aric. "They don't give you much time between fights huh?" She was actually enjoying the conversation and because of a stupid knockout it'd get cut short, the man actually had a brain left on those musculine shoulders. Something she would have never thought to happen with a man that fights for the pleasure of it all.

Aric shook his head slightly while he took another sip of his water and swallowed quickly "Ah, you may not be into fighting...But what about protecting yourself? They are two different things, but have similar styles." He started. "Now...I never throw the first punch, as you will see in all of my fights, but I always protect myself against the other person by blocking. Now, while defending yourself, you want to take out the weaknesses of your attacker, so you go for the most vulnerable spots, like the knees and abs, making him or her almost unable to do anymore attacking, right? That's when you make them tap out by putting them into a submission, which I would be glad to show you" He said trying to talk over the crowd.
Aric knew she would be surprised at his comment of wanting to get knocked out and he laughed a bit "Sounds weird right? But yes... I've only been knocked out once, I forgot the feeling, which isn't a bad thing, but I want to be beaten once in a while...That way I don't feel like character from a comic book, I want to feel like I am a normal person too" He said, knowing that it might not make sense to Steph, because it barely made sense to him. He shook his head a bit when she asked him about taking an ice bath "Nah...I took one once, too cold for me. So I just take really cold showers after fights. Like a really cold shower with almost no warm water added in, then I get it really hot for the last minute or so to loosen up my muscles...I'm usually never sore the next morning." He told her.
"I take a hit just like anyone else, it hurts, but I learned to block out the pain until after the fight. That's what I'm used to. A lot of guys just try to hide the pain, I let it show, just not until I'm off the mat. Plus, after years of conditioning your body to take hits, it puts the pain off until later anyway." He said laughing a bit. "A little fun fact for you, the Japanese actually kick bamboo trees until they kill the nerves in their shins, that way they can kick almost anything without feeling pain." He smiled when he told her the fact. Aric had never done it, but he got used to kicking a punching bag, so his shins didn't feel pain when he kicked his opponents.
"Nah, not every fight. I've knocked a few people out, but I like to make them tap out usually. Unless they piss me off enough" He told her. "We very rarely get ten minute breaks between fights here. I usually tell them to give me fifteen minutes to cool down, but sometimes the fights get out of hand by a fighter and they get too pissed to make it last any longer. Aric liked the conversation with Steph, he was having fun and he had a good feeling about the friendship they could get out of it. One of the guys from the group went over to Aric after dodging some of the crowd "Hey man, be at the mat in one minute. Go ahead and give me your shirt and get over there. I'll take little miss over to the group and give an intro to her." He said before looking at Steph and giving her a wink. "Actually bro, I'll give her a front row seat to the fight...I'll introduce her to you guys after this one okay? Here's my shirt" Aric said pulling his shirt off his torso.
He handed the shirt to his buddy and looked to Steph "Ready?" He asked, walking a little toward the mat. The crowd started to part, letting him and Steph walk through, Aric turned around and put his lips near Steph's ear "Sorry about that group. All they want is to get in girls' pants at these things, it's pathetic. I figured you wouldn't want to be around them." Aric felt the mat under his bare foot and turned around to see the man he was up against, the monstrous man was about the size and a half of Aric. This would definitely be tougher to win, but no biggie. He looked back to Steph "Don't forget to check your phone...It may have been your boyfriend" He said before turning his attention back to the fight. He didn't know if she had a boyfriend or not, but either way, she had a text that may have been important.

Steph thought about it as he explained that it'd be helpful for when she has to defend herself. She shrugged some as her hands came to cross infront of her chest as she looked towards him. "I'm going to sound like a complete chick right now, but normally i'm not alone. I have somebody with me, well except for when i'm running in the morning." There were times when she thought about what could happen if someone jumped her on a backroad during her morning jogs, but considering she'd barely seen anyone up that early moving around she always thought herself to be safe. "I guess I wouldn't be opposed to learning a few moves though," She told him, that giving them a chance to hang out outside of this atmosphere. She was fine in crowds but one on one time was a lot easier to manage for her. Especially since it wouldn't revolve around this crowd, one that she could see getting all the more anxious with each blow being swung on the mat.
She let her thoughts trail away from her as she watched a group of people near them talking and pushing each other around joking along with the rest of their friends. She couldn't take her eyes off of that small group even as he started to talk. She nodded along with his words at least letting him know that she had been listening, not very well because she'd been consumed with what was going on behind him. The whole group seemed so animated and laughing the entire time they were play fighting with one another. Not one person looked to be older than sixteen or so, the maturity level enough to have her place them in the toddler range at events like this. She would love to see one of those kids walk out on the mat, they seemed small as hell with barely any muscle definition, so one pop aside the face and she could just see them dropping to the ground. The thought had a chuckle roll from her lips before she quickly returned her attention to Aric spacing back in as someone came up beside him.
It must have been a friend of his from the way the two were talking. The wink that he'd given Stephanie made her almost cringe but she just smiled back nodding her head some just to be somewhat polite. Manners were something she didn't think were expressed too much around places like this, or at least from the group she'd been watching they weren't. Her eyes adverted from the mans friend to Aric as he lifted his shirt, her being a girl she took time to watch him very approvingly at the way his body looked beneath the fabric. She had no reason to blush though, Steph wasn't the type of girl that minded if people'd caught her catching a glimpse at them, and having men take their shirts off infront of her was something she saw quite regularly. Especially during the males soccer practices, shirts and skins was a game that was played quite frequent and it happened a lot where Steph would jump in the game to play against the other males. They could give her a run for her money since the teams were at different strengths, she liked being viewed as just another one of the guys though. Here and tonight it had been different, she couldn't just mold herself to fit the stereotype around there. She stood out like a soar thumb for not having a clue, but since she'd been near someone who pretty much owned the show people didn't seem to mind so much.
He started nodding and moving in the direction of the mat, her laughing some when he spoke close to her ear. "What, you don't think that's why i'm here?" She asked, teasing as she looked at him. That had been the furthest from the truth though, Steph had no intentions of diving into anyones pants that night. The only pants she wanted to see on the floor were her own, and that would be right before she threw on a pair of her friends comfortable boxers and climb into her bed. Steph stopped at a good spot pushing herself some from the mat not wanting to get too close, others crowding around her wanting to be right next to the action. She just gave him a nod laughing as he said the comment about the boyfriend. "You're right, wouldn't want to leave him waiting would I?" The smirk on her face let him know she'd been kidding, there had been no man in the picture. "Good luck," She told him nodding towards his opponent checking out the size of him. "Now pay attention." She grabbed the phone from her pocket and quickly pulled the text up as she could hear an announcement that the fight was about to begin. didn't leave. up front. met someone, hanging around. will explain later. She typed that text out quick to him after reading his 'where the hell are you' that'd been sent a little while ago. She drove her phone back into her pocket as she turned her attention to the mat.

Aric smiled and let out a slight laugh when she made the joke about getting into someone's pants. "Well, let's hope that's not the only reason you came" He said joking back. Aric got his gloves and put them on and strapped them up. He looked over at Steph and watched her put her phone away after finishing her text. "He must not mind that you would rather watch a make him wait until after a fight to be with him" He said again jokingly. Again, he had no idea if she was dating anyone, until she let him know with a sarcastic smile, but Aric loved to joke around with people like that. Aric looke back over at his opponent and looked him down 'Damn...This guy is huge. I need to use speed with him, not just strength' He thought to himself.
Aric jumped around a bit to loosen up and then steadied himself again. He just hoped he could keep his mind on the fight...Not the girl that he just met. She was great, from what he could tell so far. 'There you go Summers...Get your head in the fight... You're going to get your ass kicked if you don't He thought in his head. Aric focused on the fight again and put up his guard and started to step forward after the judge stepped off the mat. The other man made his way toward Aric with a loose stance. Aric could tell just how he would win this fight, if all went to plan. When they got close enough, the larger man started swinging furiously, with only intentions of hitting anything, not tactics at all. Aric did his best to dodge and block, but he got clocked with a few hits during the fury.
After regaining his head, Aric threw a kick at the man's left knee, knowing that if he could take out the man's legs, he would be nothing. The man was slow enough as it was, but with each connection to Aric's body and face, it felt like getting hit by a car in that area. He could tell that there would be bruises after this one. Aric continued to throw kicks at the man's legs, but he was taking it a little easier than he should have. After what felt like a lifetime, the judge came onto the mat and stopped the two men for a break "Summers, better get back into the fight" yelled one of the groupies. Aric nodded a bit and let one of the groupies pour water on his face.
The judge motioned for the second round to start and Aric got up and moved to the middle of the mat, waiting for the gorilla to meet him. Once the man was in the middle of the mat, he tried to send more punches in a ruthless fury again, but Aric caught the man with an uppercut and the crowd let out a roar. The man then decided to put his guard up again. Aric threw some punched at the man's body, but it didn't seem to do much. Aric backed up a bit when he realized he hadn't really hurt the man at all and threw a roundhouse kick to the man's ribs as hard as he could and connected, but the man wrapped his arm around Aric's ankle and Aric fought to keep his balance. What did this guy have planned?
The large man started to punch Aric's inner thigh and Aric cringed at the pain, what else could he do? The judge wouldn't stop it, the crowd was bringing in more money to bet. Aric then hopped off of his left foot and tried to kick the man in the face, and he surprisingly succeeded, making the man lose his hold on Aric. He was a bit dazed, Aric knew that was his chance. He stood up as quickly as he could and ran at the man, tackling him to the ground, very close to the edge of the mat near Steph, making most of the crowd back up out of the way. Aric was going to use the strongest part of his body and try to put the man in an arm bar. Aric positioned the man's arm between his legs and locked it in place. He pulled on the man's arm, making his whole arm bend the opposite way that it was supposed to and the man tried to fight it off.
Aric felt a fist hit his side and he released his grip. Next thing Aric knew, he was taking his to his face that felt like a train at full speed. He could feel liquid on his face, so he guarded his face, but left his ribs open for a beating, which tha man caught on to quickly. Aric was definitely losing at this point, blood pouring from his eyebrow, his whole face felt like it was about to cave in. Aric felt the man pounding into his ribs, so he took his elbow and threw it into the man's temple as hard as he could, making the man feel dizzy and he backed off of Aric. The only way he could win right now. Aric stood up and then tackled the man again and started to pound into the man's face, aiming for his nose. Doing what he wanted to, Aric broke the man's nose after the second well positioned hit and the man threw Aric off of him "I'm done! He broke my nose" Called the man.
The crowd roared out again and Aric stood back up, the judge running out and lifting Aric's right arm "WINNER! ARIC SUMMERS!" He called to the crowd, activating more cheers. Aric then walked off the mat after the man dropped his arm. One of the groupies unstrapped Aric's gloves and took them off for him, another treated Aric's eyebrow, and another worked on his nose. After they cleaned the blood that was running down the left side of Aric's face, they put a few butterfly stitches to close it, and then taped three pieces of layered gauze over it to make sure it didn't bleed anymore. Aric then looked over at Steph and stood up. He grabbed his shirt from on of the guys and threw it over his right shoulder and walked over to Steph. He was still sweating a bit and he looked over at the mat on his way over to her. Aric saw the judge with a rag trying to wipe up the blood on the mat.
"Was that mine? Or was that from his nose? Probably both of us..." He asked "I'm embarrassed...I got my ass whaled on out there" He told her "But then again...That's what I wanted, but he still didn't beat me." He joked
