"Do I seem like that kind of girl?" She asked looking over at him as they had still been walking to the mat at this point. "I'm not." There were a smile on her face still letting him know that she had no intentions of hopping into bed with anyone tonight. "Well unless if like Hugh Jackman walks through that door looking to fight, then I might just make an exception." She had seen the X-Men movies and he was huge into fighting during the beginning of the first one, back before the dog got tamed it seemed, and it didn't hurt that he was a beyond gorgeous actor. Of course Steph would change her views for one night with him, but she had let herself get way off topic so she forced herself back into the conversation just as she caught that last part about making her boyfriend wait. He was getting ready to fight though so instead of still going along with it she just shrugged as she backed up. "Single," She mouthed as the crowd around her started to pick their cheers up. She shook her head laughing some looking away from him as she played with her phone.
Once the match had started Steph watched carefully as the two started throwing punches at each other, or at least the larger one throwing wild and uncontrolled punches at Aric. She watched Aric kicking for his leg, but that didn't seem to accomplish a thing because as soon as it seemed he had a good enough hold on him the round was cut short as the official broke both men from each other. Steph watched as the two moved from one another to get a drink and take a breathe, this being the time her phone started to vibrate against her side again. "What now?" She mouthed to herself as she pulled the phone out of her pocket and read the next message, again from the male that she had came with. Just let me know when you've had enough the text read as Steph punched out a quick okay and sent it as she shut her phone back up. When she heard someone hollering at Summers she was confused only for a second, Summers must have been Aric's last name because he was obviously the one behind in the fight right now.
When the next round started back up the larger man went full-force on the attack as he came towards Aric, Steph amazed at the forceful hits he'd made his body endure against the brute strength of his opponent. She watched each part of his body cave as the gloved fist drove into it, but none dropping him to the mat like she would have expected. As Aric went to kick Steph could see the power behind it and yet when it hit the larger man it seemed to do nothing to him. Instead the man grabbed the ankle and started plowing into his inner thigh. Even as Steph watched her thigh quivered knowing that had hurt like a bitch, any amount of force there was enough to send you into a fit of tears. She could see the pain coming from Aric's face but he still hadn't given up, something that took a good amount of strength in itself because of the beating he had been getting.
When Aric did break the mans hold and tackle him to the ground near Steph and the other bystanders around she immediately took a few big steps backwards pushing into someone that had been crammed behind her. All she heard was a quick 'Step off, bitch!' and she jumped to the side not needing a fight to take place off of the mat. Especially one involving her. The woman glared at Steph as she looked over to see what she had stepped on, but that didn't bother Steph so much. What did bother Steph was watching as the man finally got ahold of Aric after a good attempt and had split his eyebrow wide open. Blood poured from that gash more than the lip and Steph had to turn away, the entire thing just seemed painful. She could hear the crowd roar as the other hollered he was out, broken nose. Steph was thankful she hadn't watched those last few blows, hearing them was enough to send shivers down the spine.
She looked back as she watched them working on Aric getting him all set and ready to get up. Steph stood there for a moment as the others around her all turned to join into a conversation around them, Steph staying silent until he had joined her again. "I'm sure a good amount of it's yours." She had no idea how much the other man had spilled before she looked away, though with a broken nose the blood comes as though it's being poured out of a faucet. Steph was used to seeing nosebleeds so that wasn't too bad, the ball would usually connect against someones face as their jersey soaked up the blood as it fell. "Don't be embarassed, to be honest I pretty much stopped watching when your face split open." She laughed some figuring she had missed his big return and overtake of the fight, that meaning she missed his winning moment. "Blood doesn't usually bother me, it's just this shit is insane." She said, more blurting out than anything. "Is there money in it or is it simply just the bragging rights?" Steph, not saying anything about it though, had actually been starting to enjoy herself as she watched the brute attacks between two fighters. "Water?" She asked curiously as she held her hand out with the one that he had gotten for her earlier.
ooc, congrats! It was well done too, I tried to keep up with size but I just woke up so my brain is pretty much against me, so yeah I didn't proof-read so hope it's okay hah.

Aric smiled and shook his head "Yeah? You're probably right" He said before turning his attention back to Steph. When she mentioned that she stopped watching after Aric's eyebrow was split almost in half, he smiled "That makes me feel even better...You stopped watching after the worst part of the fight happened, then missed my winning hit" He joked with her. He wished she would have caught the end, but it was no biggie. "This shit here is pretty much a start to see where people can go in the future. Like me, for instance. I've had people come watch my fights here from clothing stores, asking me if I'd be willing to support their store by wearing their clothing. But they require an agent...Which I don't have yet." He said.
He was actually kind of happy that he hadn't been signed yet. That would mean that he would have to leave everything behind. Plus, he was good out here, but if he were to go pro, every fight would end up like this one, without the win. A lot of blood, and a ton of pain. "Well, some people bet money on who they think will win the fight, then, if the person is nice enough, he or she, will split half with the winner. There was actually one night I walked out of here with fifteen hundred bucks, thanks to my friend's bets. Otherwise, fighters fight for bragging rights." He told her. That was a fun night, he won the match that was between ten people that had won it for the past nights. Aric ended up walking out with a cracked rib that night, but also with the money and pride. "But you could make some serious money here if you wanted to bet. Especially if it was a bet that I would win" He bragged, but in a joking way.
Aric looked down at the water that Steph offered to him. He took it from her hand gently and unscrewed the cap and took a sip. The cold water ran down his throat and Aric felt a little more refreshed. "I don't know that I should do anymore fighting tonight...I don't want to get anymore staples in my body. I would rather have stitches than staples any day." He told her, referring to his eyebrow. "I should probably go to the hospital and get this looked at right now. Care to go with me?" He asked. "I know it won't be any fun, but we can hang out and get to know each other a little more. If not, it's cool. I can understand if you need to be somewhere with your friends" He told her

"Yeah, sorry about that." She told him giving him a cute little smile as she looked at the staples holding the gash in his eyebrow closed. "So they wanted you to be some sort of spokesmodel?" She smirked, he was rather gorgeous and the girls seemed to flock towards him. Even the men wanted to be around him, he could push a good amount of merchandise off the shelves. "Let me ask you this much," She asked stepping towards him so he could hear her better. She hated distance when she was having conversations, but that didn't mean she'd want to sit in someones lap just to talk to them. In a place like this though one could be lost in a crowd quickly so she wanted to stay close, that is until the two had been done talking and would go their seperate ways. "Can you clean up well?" From the time she had seen him tonight he'd been a sweaty mess with a busted lip and now his eyebrow was just as bad.
When he had started to talk about money Steph's mind went off on it's own little adventure. She was your average broke college student with no transportation and no job to get herself some pocket cash. She lived off of the scholarship that would feed money into her account each month for the things she needed around campus, though she would spend that money on groceries mostly and junkfood. She could make due with the notebooks and supplies she had, hell she'd been using the same notebook for the past three semesters just to save money. If she could put some money on random fights she could make some extra spending cash, some money to let her do the things she wanted instead of finding free entertainment around. A smirk crept over her face as she chuckled along with his bragging comment. She was not the type to brag about her low social standing though, she made up for the lack of money with an all-around good time doing random senseless things. Still the thought of making money is a good one and it stayed close to the front of her mind. "I could put a couple dollars down on you sometime. I have at least that much faith in your skills." From what she had seen and what he had told her he was someone to contend with, but she wondered if betting on him would be worth it in the end. With everyone else betting on the sure thing she'd come out with less money than she'd want. She snapped herself out of her thoughts though as he brought up the hospital.
She had always hated going to that place. Everything from the too sterile environment to the smell made her unsettled. "I came with a friend," She muttered looking up at him for a minute before looking around searching for her friend through the crowd. "I don't have a car," She wasn't sure if he'd needed a ride or not, she had no idea he had drove himself here tonight. "You seriously want me tagging along?" She asked curiously looking around at all of the girls that had been there, any of them that would jump at the chance to accompany the champ to the doctors. "What, need someone to hold your hand while they fix you up good and new?" She asked, teasing some as she watched him. Her smile stayed bright throughout their time together, Steph was rather happy tonight for some reason. Maybe it had been the fact that she had witnessed a whole new world with this, and she had to admit that she liked it. Not enough to go all out like some of the other women around, but enough to at least come back and watch some more at another time. "I would have to tell him i'm leaving, I don't know if he'd like it too much or not." Her friends were protective over her, that was for sure.

Aric smiled a bit "Yeah, I guess that's what they would call me. I'd be a walking billboard for them" He said jokingly. It was sort of true though. That was how a lot of companies were getting their names out, having people get tattoos with the company name, or wearing clothing with the logo on it. Aric would be willing to do that, if they were willing to pay him with some cash, not just free clothes...Although that would be nice. Aric lifted his eyebrows a bit, feeling a bit of pain in his left eyebrow "What's up?" He asked, waiting for the next half of her question. "Nah...I always look like I was thrown out of a moving car and thirty miles per hour" He gave a slight laugh "You mean outside of these events? Yeah, I usually wear nicer clothing. I'm not all button ups and polos, but I dress for the occasion. Why?' He asked in return.
Aric smiled and nodded a bit "A few bucks could work... I'm sure off of that few bucks, you could get a couple hundred if you placed it early enough in the tournament...Say you were to put ten dollars on me to win the tourney before it even started, you could walk out with anywhere between 150 to 200 bucks that night. It's happened before." He said trying to reassure her thoughts of maybe getting some extra cash. Aric had some friends that had walked out with five hundred dollars after betting for Aric. But, he never asked for any money from them, just from his 'managers' that placed bets.
Aric shrugged "Oh it's cool, if you came with someone else, that's fine. You don't have to go." He didn't want her to feel obligated to go with him. Plus, if she was here with a friend, he didn't want them to be mad. [/b]"I drove here...My Mustang is right outside. I could take you home after, it's not a big deal, unless you have a problem with guys taking you home at night."[/b] He joked with her. He could definitely understand if she didn't want to ride with him...After all, they had just met. "Eh, you wouldn't be tagging along...You would be...Um...Accompanying me" He said with a smile "And it never hurts to hold someone's hand while getting the stitches. Squeezing the other person's hand never really helped me, but I'm sure it would keep my mind off the pain" He told her in a bit f a flirting way. He didn't even mean to make it sound like he was flirting, it just kind of came out that way. "If your friend would have a problem with it, then don't go. I can understand that for sure. I have some friends that I watch out for too. The only thing he needs to understand is that you are old enough to make your own decisions too." He told her. Not trying to sound like an ass, but it was true, when someone was over the age of seventeen, Aric felt they had every right to do as they wanted. "It's just, you seem like a pretty knowledgeable woman. You know what is right and what is wrong...I would think" He said jokingly. "But I don't want to cause trouble either..."[/blockquote][/size]

Steph had to laugh at the being thrown out of a moving car comment. When he commented about the polos and button-ups Steph just pouted some, of course jokingly, as she looked up at him. "Ah and here I thought you were some straight A prep student." She teased giving him a playful nudge on the arm as she laughed at her own joke. "Why?" She wasn't expecting that return question as she stood there and that made her start to think for a minute about a good answer. "I was just curious, most people that come to my games ask if I ever take off the jersey. It's just, I guess it's a common question or something?" That seemed a good enough answer, the jersey part had been true too. "Yeah, that's it. Just normal conversation." She teased, mostly to herself for running out his one worded question with a few sentences. None of them that got straight to the point.
As she listened to him talk about the betting and placing them as soon as possible, and even with only ten dollars being able to leave with almost two-hundred that one night. She liked that though, bet on the sure thing and at least win more money instead of standing in fear that you could lose even just those ten dollars. "I'll have to remember that, get here sooner next time." She laughed some as she looked around, again for her friend that she had came with. "You'd be worth fifteen." She teased as she thought she'd seen her friend but it turned out to be someone else, her dollar amount differing from the ten he'd mentioned earlier.
Now right here if Steph were a cartoon her eyes would have bulged out of her head at the mention of his Mustang, but instead she just got wide-eyed standing there silent for a minute thinking of the sports car. "Men taking me home?" She laughed shaking her head. "You get used to anyone taking you home when you don't have a car. Not a Mustang though, can't ever just get used to them. They're just-" She stopped herself knowing damn well she had made herself look too much of a loser right now. She had to finish her sentence though so just let the single world "Powerful" drop from her lips. She felt better when his tone changed to push towards being flirtatious, now he was the one sounding funny as his comment came out pretty lame sounding. She just smirked as she looked up at him, Steph was just the type that could never get used to flirtatious gestures or anything of that persuasion. Even though she couldn't get used to it though she, like most every other girl, at least liked it. Steph was just harder to impress than most girls, though his Mustang impressed her more than he would need to all night. "What kind of person would I be if I didn't try to help?" She asked, another soft pout as she teased mostly.
Steph grinned as he started to talk about her friend. "I make my own decisions, it's just-" She stopped talking and patted her phone in her pocket as she thought. Could she really pass up the chance to ride in that kind of car? Sure hanging out with him somemore wouldn't be that bad of a thing, but right now the car trumped the trip she'd take in it to the hospital. She could do it though, he'd asked which to her meant he hadn't wanted to part ways just yet, so who was she to turn down the company of someone new instead of her usual friends. Aric was just, well different from her normal friends. She liked it, it was a breathe of fresh air for her being in this new environment. "I guess it wouldn't hurt," She said, that grin still present on her face as she pulled her phone out to call him. "Could you get me someplace quiet?" She asked casually, she didn't want to tell him she was leaving through a text, and could hardly hear a thing in here, and having him made it easier to break through the crowd.

Aric shook his head playfully "Nope, not Aric Summers. I'm a straight B kind of guy" He joked back with her. He laughed a bit at her answer to his question "That's true, I guess it's not a big question for me cause I see a lot of people outside of the fights too. They normally see how I dress" He told her. He normally saw people around town, whether he wanted to be noticed, or if he was trying to keep to himself for a while, there was always someone saying hi. Aric didn't mind, unless he was doing something personal, like shopping for a gift for his mother, or maybe on a date. He didn't mind the occasional 'What's up?', but he hated when people would stop and stare, or try to tag along with him, it got really annoying. He felt like a town celebrity at times.
"Awe, well thank you...It's nice to know that I'm worth less than a pair of shoes, or better yet...A used video game" He teased back. Aric could tell that his mentioning of his Mustang had caught Steph's attention. He luaghed a bit and shook his head slightly "Well let me tell you...My Mustang isn't...'Normal'" He paused a moment "No, definitely not normal. My Mustang can race a Lamborghini, and actually keep up. I built the engine myself, and added a twin turbo in it. There is also an intake like no one has seen on the streets before, my brother got that for me" He said smiling wildly. Aric was proud of his mustang, he could top it out at 185, well, that's all he had taken it to. He was almost afraid of going any faster. With her comment, he could tell that his Mustang had put in a big word for him "Well thanks...It's nice to know you'd help me out in any situation...As long as my Mustang is available" He joked with her.
Aric nodded to her comment "Alright cool." He answered back to her. "Um, yeah, you could call him when we get to the car. Or there is a bathroom to your left as we leave. Did you just want to try to find him and tell him we are leaving? It may leave a good impression of me" He told her. Not that he was looking to impress the guy, but he wanted to show respect to the guy that had given this gorgeous girl a ride in the first place. Hell, maybe if Steph and Aric started hanging out more, Aric could get a new group of actual friends...Instead of just groupies.

Steph smirked as he said he'd been a straight B kind of guy, even after all those blows to the head and face he still managed to throw jokes out there. Speaking his last name though gave her the answer to one of her earlier questions, Summers had been his last name and the man was calling out to him while he was on the mat. Aric was tying back loose ends and didn't even know it right now. "So does that mean I should start looking for you more often?" She asked, the smirk she'd had turning into a soft smile. She wouldn't mind seeking him out throughout the city. Steph did know how it felt to feel like a celebrity with all the people that would talk to her and throw a congrats her way when the team won another game. It seemed everyone around Point Pleasant had known her because of her skills, but she didn't mind because it'd meant that she never had to be alone. Steph hated being alone.
"You know what I mean," She said laughing at his smart comment. She stopped talking and just listened as he told her about his Mustang. Her thoughts trailed off with a Lamborghini for just a second, those were some hot ass cars too. Her favorite had been a Jaguar though, still his Mustang sounded like a prize. Steph gasped some as he joked with her again. "What? No, I mean it's a perk but I would probably help you if we had to walk somewhere." She smirked laughing as she looked around a third time for her friend. "I'm used to walking, trust me." Her face was going to hurt tonight when she got back to her dorm from smiling and laughing so much, she really hadn't hung out with someone new in quite some time. Especially not someone like Aric Summers, she'd said his last name in her head just not to forget.
Steph looked at him confused for a minute when he told her it wouldn't hurt to leave a good impression. "He's just a friend, not my dad." She grinned laughing some. Still she could understand where he had been coming from, friends were just as important as family for Steph, so with that she gave him a nod. She really didn't want to hit the bathroom here anyway, who knew how sanitary it could be with some of the women she'd seen around. When she reached the back where she'd lost track of her friend from the beginning Steph looked around standing on her tippy toes a few times to see behind large crowds, but she just couldn't see him anywhere.
"Steph!" She heard her name being called and saw her friend come into view walking towards her. She grinned as she walked over to meet him and gave him a small friendly hug. It was nice to be back near someone she was familiar with. "Josh, this is A-" It seemed her friend had already known him, or at least his name from the many nights he'd come when the text had reached him. He quickly put his hand out, Steph jumping backwards at the sudden extension. Her eyes widened watching the expression on her friends face turn to pure enjoyment, she should have just called him from the car. It might not have been this ackward, or at least ackward for her for some reason. "I saw your fights tonight, awesome man. I mean the way you took down that second man, fucking power right there." Steph's eyes widened at her friend swearing as his grin couldn't get any wider, here he was turning into just another one of Aric's fangirls.
"So, cool yourself." Steph looked at Josh after the handshake but it didn't seem he was paying too much attention. "Hey, snap out of it!" She said snapping her fingers infront of his eyes as he looked down at her. "That's better, anyway," She started once again, this time her friends full attention on her. "He's the one I said i'd met earlier. We talked a little while and he asked if I could go with him to the hospital, just to get his face checked out and all." A twitch in her friends eyebrow insisted it not be such a good idea. "Go with him?" He asked bringing his voice down and leaning in towards her so Aric couldn't hear him as well. "I thought it'd be a good idea, you know make sure none of these other women try to take advantage of him in his fragile state." She teased flashing a cheeky grin to Aric before looking back at her friend. "So yeah, i'm going to go and he's just going to drop me off at the dorms later, that is if he doesn't mind." She trailed off at that last part looking at Aric to see if he'd be kind enough to bring her back to campus.
Joshua still did not look too enthusiastic to have his friend leave with Aric, but Steph knew that when she'd gotten home later and called him things would be all better. "You sure this is a good idea?" He asked close to her. "I'll be fine," She whispered into his ear as she gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, her friend blushing like he'd always had when Steph showed that sign of affection. She just laughed breaking from the hug and stepping those few steps to Aric and looking at him. "I think we should go before he asks for your autograph," She joked looking back at her friend Josh standing there and winking. "I'll call you later, bye!" She waved as she started away from her friend, the man returning to the fight infront of him still somewhat unsure. "He can be such a worry wart sometimes, don't worry about him. He'll be alright, trust me." Steph broke the silence laughing some trying to cool the situation down, it did feel ackward going against her friends wishes but he'd get over it.

Aric smiled back at her question that seemed rhetorical, but he felt he needed to answer it anyways "Well...If you want to 'be cool', then yes, find me on the street and say hi. But if you really want to get noticed...I'd say we need to be hanging out the a lot. Maybe you could get one of my cool 'groupie' shirts with 'I'm with Aric' written on it...And the picture of my face on the back" He joked. He did actually see someone that had a shirt that had Aric Summers written on it at a fight once, the thought was sad if you asked him. "But, I'm only kidding of course...I'm not stuck up at all, I just like to joke around, if you couldn't tell" He said with a wide, fake, smile.
Aric laughed a bit ""I know, I know...I'm only kidding" He commented back. Aric could tell that his Mustang really caught her attention...The way she was zoned in as he told her some quick details about it. "Yeah, yeah...Like I haven't heard that one before" He said in an exaggerated tone, making sure he sounded like he was joking. "And with my eyebrow the way it is right now...Walking would probably be a good idea..." He paused a moment. "We should just forget the car...We can walk ten miles to the hospital" He said in a serious tone, looking at Steph with a serious face. He smirked a bit...Giving his joke away "Pshh...Yeah right...I wouldn't leave my baby here" He said with a smile.
Aric smiled and saw Steph searching around. Must have been for her friend. Then, out of no where, Aric heard a voice calling for Steph. He turned around and saw the man getting closer. As Steph started to introduce Aric, the man interrupted her and Steph jumped back a bit when her friend's hand came to meet Aric's. "Hey, thanks man. And your name?" Aric extended his arm and shook the man's hand with a firm grip, the man trying to make his grip stronger than Aric's. Aric laughed a bit inside 'No need to try to prove yourself to me bro..' He thought to himself. Aric laughed a bit when she snapped in her friend's face. He listened to the conversation between the two for a moment, and when she flashed a grin at him, his eyebrows arched a pit, but it caused a bit of pain, and he dropped them back down almost immediatly.
He looked from Steph to her friend "Yeah bro, I can take her back to her dorm, that's fine." He trailed off and nodded toward Steph agreeably. Aric could see the man was not liking the idea of Steph going with him. It's not like he was going to try anything, but with how popular Aric was, there were bound to be rumors going around. Aric had heard a few, and he knew they weren't true, and his friends knew they weren't true, so he didn't care. Aric waited for the two to part ways and he nodded to the man "Nice meeting you bro" He called out before turning around with Steph. "Well, I'm sure he has heard the rumors, so I could see why he may worry, without really knowing me. Some people try to kill my reputation by telling rumors...Which I'm sure you've heard one or two" He commented as they made their way to the door toward the car.
As they reached the car, Aric went over to the passenger side and opened the door for Steph...That was how he was raised. Once she was in, he shut the door gently and went to the driver's side. He opened the door and got in, buckling his seat belt right away. He then started the car and it let out a loud roar, then went into a sort of purring sound. He pressed the clutch and put the car in gear and started to head toward the hospital.
