You Know I Love You (Rance)

Lance hadn't seen or heard from Rachel in almost a week and it was killing him. He hadn't come out of his room and wasn't talking to anyone. It wasn't good. He had messed up big time and he didn't have his cell phone so he couldn't talk to her because that would mean getting the phone from Aiden's room and he really didn't want to talk to him. He had finally had enough and got up putting on a shirt and some basketball shorts. He walked out of the house and got into his truck making his way over to Rachel's. He knew her parents were finally home along with her little sister which meant they probably knew what happened since Rachel probably had to talk to someone. He pulled up a house away and looked over at Rachel's house. He walked along the side of her house until he saw her window. It was starting to get dark outside and Lance didn't want to face her parents if she had said something about him being an asshole.

He found the fence that would grant him easy access to the roof. He got on the roof and slowly and lightly stepped around not making much noise as he looked for her window. He hoped she would be in there. He passed her parents window with a little bit of difficulty since he didn't want to be seen. He finally reached her window and saw her on her computer so her back was towards him. He lightly knocked on the window hoping not to startle her.

Rach clad in simple jeans and a white long sleeve shirt sat at her computer checking her emails and such when she heard a tap at her window, she jumped up almost knocking her chair over in the process. She went over to see who it was, it was Lance, of course. She hadn't talked to him in like a week, and was trying to do other things to pre-occupy herself with, she needed some time to be alone and was happy he had given it to her. She opened her window and looked at him. "You know there are such things as doors for reasons" she said, wondering why on earth he had climbed up to the roof.

"Yeah but I figured if I got to your window i'd get to see you faster." He said grinning as he looked at her. She looked beautiful. He was wondering if she had been going through a rough time without him while he was going through a rough time without her. "I missed you." He said getting to a quick point seeing as how that's really how he felt. He pouted out his bottom lip as he sat on the roof looking at her.

"Uhuh" Rach said as she looked at him. "Well come inside so we can talk, i don't want you falling off the roof" she said moving aside so he come jump in. She crossed her arms as she leaned against the wall.

Lance put a hand to his face, "Gasp...you mean...you mean you actually care?!?" he asked but the added a just kidding face. He hopped in through the window looked at her and thought about hugging her but held back. He stuffed his hands in his pockets as he looked over at her. He was never going to drink again if this is what it caused.

Rach closed her window and turned around to face him. "I'll take that apology anytime" she said stiffly as she keept her arms crossed but moved a bit closer to him.

"I'm sorry babe...I mean Rachel I acted like an asshole and i'm never drinking again because I can't spend that much away from you. I missed you so much I haven't been doing anything. I've become just as pathetic as Aiden." He said leaning against the opposite wall with his eyes down at his feet. He kept his hands in his pockets as he fidgeted around.

Rach looked up at him. "It's not just the drinking, it's the way you were acting with that girl, i mean how can i ever trust you?" she asked as she walked around her room a bit, unable to stay still any longer.

"It was uncalled for and I feel terrible but Rach I wasn't acting like myself you could even tell I was drunk. I love you and I want to be with you. You're my one and only." He said looking at her seriously he really wanted her to understand. He took a seat on her floor not wanting to go near her in case she might get angry.

"I'm listening" Rach said as she sat down on her bed, waiting for him to keep talking.

"I don't even know what I was doing. That girl could never measure up to you and I should have just kept my eyes on you. That's why I stay away from the alcohol my family hasn't had the best history with it." He said lowering his head as he thought about his dad and how he had messed up his marraige because he was an alcoholic. He didn't want to do that with Rachel. He loved her and nothing would change that.

((The way you said it sounded like they're married, ))

"Yeah.. so you promise me you'll never screw up like that again?" Rach asked looking over at him, all seriousness in her eyes.

Lance kept his eyes down on his shoes as he felt her eyes upon him. He slowly raised his gaze and nodded, "I promise Rach...I love you." He said as his voice dropped down to a quiet tone. He kept his hands draped over his knees as she sat against her wall.

Rach nodded as she listened to him. "I love you too.. seriously, this is it, no more excuses, or drama or cheating.. it's just me and you.. okay?" she asked looking over at him.

Lance nodded,"That's all I want. You and me. Simple as that." He said setting his chin on his forearm since his arms were over his knees. He looked up at her with hope in his eyes as he gazed at her beauty.
