How could he do that? Just take away all of her worries and insecurities with one small smile...She loved that about him. A smile came to her own face and she nodded. "I love you." she said to him, still smiling. "And, what we don't know, we'll learn, I guess..." She ran her free hand through her hair and looked at him, realizing how tired she really was. "So you coming to bed?" she asked him.

" I love you too." He told her with a small kiss.Knowing that it was gonna be him and her going through it together made it easier on his mind. "I was thinking about it." He said as he took another mouthful of chinese food and began to close the container and walked back over to the fridge, "So what'd you do today?" He asked he as he began to put things away after stealing another dumpling.

Ava laughed, leaning against the counter again as he went back to the fridge. "Um, other than go to the doctor and throw up? Not a lot." she joked, smiling at him. "Oh. Becca called. You know you really need to see her at some point...I don't think she came here to see me or anyone else." She wasn't nagging him, only stating a fact and even teasing him a bit too. She didn't get into the fact that when Ava had asked if she'd met anyone knew, Becca mentioned Blake.

" Yeah, i'll call her in the morning or stop by her place." He said tiredly as he leaned back against the closed fridge. He scratched his bare chest before folding his arms and looking over at her near the counter with a lazy but amused grin, "You know now that your pregnant your gonna have to take things easy,lessen your load and such." He said as he took a few steps toward her.

Ava nodded, though when he said she'd have to take things easy, she pouted. "That's no fun..." she said, like a little kid who'd just been told no. Take things easy? To Ava, that meant do nothing at all...and that wouldn't do. She loved keeping busy and she loved her life; school, the paper, helping out at the Orchid, home.."What if..." she walked closer to him, slightly teasingly. "..I...am really, really good?" she teased some more, wrapping her arms lovingly around his neck, still pouting cutely.

He put an arm around to her lower back, "What I meant to say was, over time you'll have to start taking it easier...like spending less time on your feet." He said with a soft kiss on the lips before bending and lifting her up, one ting her back as the other stayed tuck under her legs. He turned the small light switch off with his elbow and he walked out of the kitchen carfully with her in his arms and to the bedroom.

"Over time, yes, but that's like..months from now." She protested, knowing he was right, but defiant as always. She'd already decided to give up coffee, well caffeinated, but she'd decided to not tell him for her own amusement. She knew he'd freak out. It was cute, really. When he picked her up, she laughed. "Why, Mr. Riley, you are a true romantic." she teased, knowing he would probably shrug it off as nothing and be all manly about it. She held him tight as they, well he, walked out of the kitchen and back to their room.

" Yeah well, it's in the job description." He said with a smile as he walked into the bedroom and placed her down on the bed. He stretched before going to the other side and flopping down on his pillow. The tension of the day left his body and seemed to dissapear the moment he laid down next to her. It was still so surreal that she was the one to wake up next to him every morning, and now was pregnant with his child. He looked over at her with a smile.

After he'd put her down, she slipped off her robe and placed it on the end of the bed while he walked around and got in. She watched him get comfortable, then smiled back at him and rested her head on his chest as she looked up at the ceiling. Like him, this was all surreal for her, unexpected. Had she ever thought she'd be married to him? Well, honestly not. But she could've never been happier.

Jack had fallen asleep sometimes after he laid in bed, a common occurence, he was starting to feel older and older. Working so much had hleped him find new pains he didnt know exsisted. His alarm went off on the table next to him and with a tired arm he reached over and turned it off. He thought he had turned it off before he left for work yesterday but must have forgotten. He turned back over to ava and shoved one arm back under his pillow as he draped the other over the sleeping figure next to him.

Ava slept well that night, which was weird since her mind was racing at a million thoughts a minute. Mostly thoughts about the baby and Rachel coming into town. She'd been meaning to call her and hadn't gotten around to it yet. She would do it today..later.

As the alarm went, Ava groaned a little. "Me no like alarm..alarm bad.." she mumbled at the loud, annoying sound as he shut it off and rolled over so he was facing her. She opened her eyes a bit, but only to see him. She wasn't ready to get up. "Don't you have the diner to get to?" she asked him, curiously.

"You distracted me last night, forgot to turn it off." He yawned as he burrowed his head deeper into his pillow with his eyes closed. "I'm going in late, got Manny to open up with the new guy." He mumbled into the pillow. Manny was Jack's new cook that he hired, along with another service guy to help him when he couldn't be there and had to go to the pub early. He didn't want to hire them but Ava said to would help him, and so since she said so, he did.

Ava nodded, remembering all the new hiring he was doing. "Wait. Manny is the cook, right?" she asked, getting slightly confused, mainly because she was still groggy. "Right...yeah." She looked over again at the clock and sighed. She had a class later, but that wasn't until noon. She lay back again, knowing that no matter how hard she tried, she would not be able to go back to sleep. Suddenly she missed coffee lots...Withdrawal. "Breakfast?" she suggested, looking at him.

"You offering?" He teased knowing full well he was the one to make the coffee and the simple breakfast items in the morning- eggo's, poptarts, toast..those were his specialties. He tunred fully on his back and looked over at her half awake trying to will himself to get out of bed like he did every morning. "I can't move out of bed, I think my legs are dead." He said groggily.

When he asked if she was offering, she just smirked. "I thought we'd discussed this...if you want us both to be starving and homeless, I can cook, but otherwise I stay out of there at all costs." She laughed a little and kissed him softly. "Morning, by the way." she said, more awake now than ever. It was clear he still wasn't though. Then again, she'd had much more sleep than him. She watched him as he complained about his legs being dead and smirked as she crawled over and stayed on all fours so his legs were under her and she was facing him. "I highly doubt that statement.." she said, matter-of-factly with yet another, cute smirk.
