Blake's eyes slowly opened, he looked around and processed that he was in the hospital, his whole entire body ached. He couldn't help but wonder where Ava was and if she was ok, he felt the bandage around his head and saw the bandage around his leg, he had broken it again. Blake pushed the Nurse call button about 50 times in a row before someone finally came. "Wheres my girlfriend?" Blake asked the nurse in a panicked tone. "She should be fine" The nurse replied to him "Where is she?!" He yelled, wanting to see Ava and make sure she was alright.

She was fine...of sorts. Down the hall in another room she lay unconcious, with only a bruise on her face giving away anything about the accident. The doctors said that she'd hit her head pretty bad..what she remembered would only be known when she woke. They'd drawn blood and hooked her up to all sorts of various machines. All we could do was wait...
[and..time jump.]
Ava stirred as she gradually woke to the pale white walls. Where was she? Not in her room..Her room was red. Sitting up she..ugh! That hurt. Why did she hurt? She couldn't remember. She looked around and finally realized she was in the hospital. She had no idea of how she'd gotten there. She hit the page button for a nurse.

Blake sat in his bed eating the crappy hospital food they had brought to him, he was being a total asshole to the nurses because they wouldn't let him go see Ava.

The nurse explained to her that she'd gotten into a car accident caused by a drunk driver. She also mentioned that she was alone..her boyfriend was there. Her boyfriend? Wait..Jack, right? She remembered dating someone named Jack, but..wasn't she single? She guessed not. "Is Jack, okay?" she asked and the nurse gave her a puzzled look.
"You were brought in with Blake Darwin." the nurse told her. "Is he not..?"
"No..Blake's my friend..my best friend." Ava said with a small laugh. "We'd never..going out isn't an option. I have a boyfriend already."
"Oh. In that case would you like me to call him?"
"Yeah, um..his number is in my wallet..I think."
The nurse handed her her purse and she sorted through it until she found her wallet then opened it to find a small piece of paper with Jack's number on it. It was the same piece of paper with his number he'd given her when they'd met..only much longer ago than Ava thought.
The nurse left to call and Ava flipped on the TV, boredly and wondering how Blake was.

Finally his doctor came in and he let Blake get in a wheel chair and roll down the hall and see Ava, he rolled into her room seeing her there watching tv "Hey Baby, are you ok?" He asked as he quickly rolled over next to her.

Ava turned off her tv and saw not Jack, but..Blake? She gave him a puzzled look then started to laugh, thinking he was kidding and pulling some sort of joke on her. "I'm perfect..Though I think you could very much be beat up the next time you call me baby, so I'd keep it in check.."

Blake just looked at her confused "What?" He asked her, hoping she was joking.

"Um, my boyfriend?...Jack? What did the accident give you amnesia or something?" she laughed a little. Wow, he was really good at the joking thing..She almost believed him.
A nurse stepped in and told Blake to exit the room a moment, so she could explain.

Blake just gave Ava a disoriented look and then rolled out of the room so the nurse could talk to him "Whats going on?" He asked the nurse, still looking bewildered.

"It appears that Miss. Harper has suffered some memory loss when she hit her head in the crash. We've had a brief neuro consult done already, but Dr. Ross is schedule to be down any moment to find out just what she's retained. She's said that somebody named Jack is her boyfriend..Do you know anybody with that name?" the nurse asked.

Blake looked down at the ground to keep from breaking down "Yeah, its her ex-boyfriend, the guy that left her and then I went out with her after that" He said shaking his head while still looking at the floor. He put his head in his hands and groaned a little "What am I supposed to do?" He asked as he looked up at the nurse.

"I see.." said the nurse. "In this time of situation as hard as it is we'd say to try and keep the patient calm and just go with it..These things normally pass quickly, but breaking out the truth normally does more harm than good. She's given me Jack's number and I suggest he be told what's going on. Would you prefer I called him or you did it yourself?"

The nurse nodded abd handed him over the phone number. "I know this must be hard for you.Now, I need to go check on some other patients, so you can go in and be with her if you wish. If you need to talk to someone one of our therapist's is always available." She offered him a comforting smile and left down the hallway.

He nodded before rolling back into Ava's room, he couldn't believe that she doesn't remember them being together and she thinks she is still with Jack, so he rolled into her room "Hey" He said with a weak smile.
