Welcome Back..[Red-eye from hell!]

Tory was back, back in Pleasant..back. She wasn't sure why, but she was. Maybe it was because she missed it, or rather, the people..a person, though she knew he wouldn't be there. Jack was in New York City.

So where had Tory been? Well, she'd been all over. First, she'd travelled to Venice, then Japan, then Thailand..and finally, here she was. Home..or what would be home. Yes, she was there to stay.

Taking her luggage off the carousel, she pulled her suitcase to the door and waited for a cab.

Jack thanked the reporter one more time, as he stood outside the airport on the curb, and watched as the man walked into the lobby. Jack sighed, something he hadn't done since the guy arrived. he was exhausted and was hoping that the review was going to be a good one, it better be for all the effort he put in to making the guy feel comfortable. Jack leaned back against the passenger's door and rolled his neck, then side to side. when he looked to his left it was a few seconds before he realized who he was looking at. Tory Cooper. He ran his hands through his hair and rolled up his sleeves,suddenly finding it hot out.

Tory sighed. Since when was there such a lack of cabs? In New York, taxis came by every second..New York..Tory thought back to that night at diner when Jack had said he was leaving. It was a memory that had stayed with her through all her travels. He was a meory that had stayed with her. At the time he'd been a fling, but the space had made her realize she loved him. But he was gone..she was moving on.

Brushing a piece of her newly brown bangs out of her face, she took out a cell phone from her purse and dialed a number.

Jack was having a hard time making up his mind..make a run for it or go over to her. He walked around the back of the car and around to the driver's door. He grabbed the door and opened it, as his alarm began to blare. It took him a few seconds to fumble for his keys and turn it off. Yeah..smooth.

Tory was waiting for the person to answer when she heard an alarm go off to someone's care and looked over. Who wouldn't right? But, something caught her by surprise. The man there looked oddly like..no, it couldn't be. She'd mistaken a lot of people for him over the past few months, wishing they were him..this wasn't. That she was sure of. Still, something made her curious and want to take a closer look. Not so much as go over to him, just..look.

She put her phone away and placed on her dark sunglasses in case the man hadn't seen her, looking was better done when the person didn't know you were looking. That got creepy. She walked over a bit, just close enough and stood. It was him..Jack Riley.

He looked over as he was about to get into the car and speed off, she was looking directly at him. He let out a breath and steped out of the car. He put his hand up into the air, as if to say hello. His hand went down and then deep into his pocket. It was deffinetly an awkward situtation.

Tory did the same, raising a hand. As awkward as the situation was she couldn't help but smile by it. So he'd come back too. Finally she got up the nerve and found herself walking over. "Hi.." she said simply, trying to think of something elae to say.

"Uh hi" He said trying to dig his hands deeper into his pockets as if they were his way of escape." So uh, yeah" He said rubbing the back of his head,"your back then?" He asked stating the obvious.

Tory nodded. "So are you.." she commented, like him, stating the obvious. "So, um, how are you? It's been what..like a year or something..?"

[saying its that long because of the making the pub time and a bit before..]

[jack edward riley]

"One year, three months and uh a few days but it's not like i'm counting." He said with a smirk." I can't complain really, I uh left NYU and came back a few months ago.What about you, how have you been?" He asked her.

Tory smiled. He looked great and being with him made not smiling almost impossible..it felt like a dream. "Good...busy, but good. I was travelling for a bit, then I guess I somehow just..was drawn back here. I'm starting at PPU soon."

[jack edward riley]

"Oh cool, I'm taking night classes there now but they going back to day classes, I own a pub now, it's not open yet but I've been working constantly there." He told her. It sounded weird and for the first time in his life he felt mature.

"A pub? That's great Jack...really." She thought back to all the times they'd just sat at his apartment and talked, remembering him mentioning something about one day wanting one. "I guess all your dreams are coming true..."

[jack edward riley]

He sighed and shook a hand through his hair," Yeah, well I mean it's cool and all but it gets stressed and kind of lonely" He said finally admitting it to himself. Seeing Tory again made him think about what he should have told her back then but didn't because he was selfish. He looked down at his shoes, "So you just got off a plane, they probably didn't serve you the best food, do you maybe wanna get something to eat?" He asked her.

Hungry? She wasn't really because Tory made a habit of bringing food on planes and avoiding the nasty stuff they served, ..though she didn't say that. Instead she said "Sure." She smiled a little and nodded following him over to his car with her suitcase.
