A day to reflect (Blair)

Lance had gotten a day out to just chill because Kennedy was spending the day with Ryan, just the two of them. He didn't mind it at all because he had been around a lot lately and respected when she wanted some time with their son one on one. He decided to come out to the beach because he hadn't been surfing in forever and he always liked to show off because that was just Lance. He showed up with his board under his arm and eyes focused on the horizon. There were good waves coming in today and he was getting pumped by seeing the lack of surfers out on the water. He could have the waves all to himself.

He was taking the day to reflect after all he did have a lot to think about. Since he had come back to Pleasant he had broken off his engagement, gotten back in his son's life as much as he can at the moment, and kissed the woman he had gotten pregnant back in high school when he had been going out with Rachel. Needless to say he had a lot on his mind lately. He had seen less of Rachel around which he was thankful for because it had definitely been awkward the last time they had run into each other. Plus he had heard from others that she had moved on and had her eyes set on someone else. He was happy for her of course.

He walked over to the water and surfed for a few hours. As he walked back out his muscles ached from the water pushing him around. It had been intense waves but fun none the less. He had a grin on his face as he saw a few girls looking at him and whispering to their friends and giggling. He smirked as he found himself a spot on the beach and started to dry himself off as he stuck his board in the sand. He would take a break for a bit before going out again. The waves had gotten a little crowded over the time he had been out there so a break was needed. He liked it when it was vacant cause you didn't have to worry about running into anyone else or something bizarre happening.

Blair was enjoying a little quality time with her boyfriend.. aka the beach. She was always there and it was more reliable to her than a man.. so that was just her own little nickname for it. She was walking along the shore, wearing a black bikni, though she had a sheer little sarong tied loosely around her tiny waist. She was carying her iPhone and flip flops haphazardly in one hand. She wasn't really expecting to see anyone she knew, but she was sure she would.. after all, it was a small town. The day was nice and warm and Blair enjoyed spending most of her saturdays hanging out on the beach. She rarely swam but she always found a perfect spot to tan, and would usually pass out for a few hours. Back in the day, pre-baby, her and Emma had come to the beach together-- all the time. Lately, Blair had been flying solo- to the beach that was.. sometimes her other friends would join her, but truthfully she enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Lance dried off his hair and looked around to see if he noticed anyone. He could have gone over to the girls and talked it up with them but he wasn't in the mood to flirt with girls he didn't know. Now if he found he did know lord knows how that would end up. Lance was a flirt by nature always had been always would be. He of course toned it down when he was in a relationship but right now he wasn't sure what he and Kennedy were. So he just assumed he was flying solo for the time being. His eyes landed on a familiar girl he smirked as he saw her.

Blair Martin aka the perfect girl for him to flirt with. He remembered their times back in high school in passing. He knew her from his times when he was going out with Rachel and had met Emma. They had been in the same social circle in high school the "popular kids" is what they had been labeled as. He dropped his towel to the sand and started to head her way. He had a charming grin on his face as he stood over her. She had been engrossed in her phone and hadn't noticed him behind her.

He looked around for a moment she still hadn't noticed. He figured it was now time to make her notice him. He leaned down to whisper in her ear, "Hey sexy girl long time no see." He said this while a smirk formed upon his lips wondering how she would react to this.

Blair was startled by a deep voice behind her and almost dropped her phone, as she jumped a little bit off the ground. She turned around and smiled. "Why hello yourself.. sexy" she said with a smile, as she looked into the familiar eyes of Lance. Lance and her had never been that close friends but they definitely had some good times together, usually within the group Blair ruled. She was sort of known as the queen bee within her high school. She smiled at him and keept walking, knowning he would follow. "How goes it? I haven't seen you.. in like a year" she said, she knew Lance had graduated a few years ago but she hadn't even seen him around Pleasant much recently.

He smirked as he placed his arm around her shoulder as they walked. "Sexy is an understatement." He joked cockily as he looked at her and winked. It was good to see someone that he had liked being around in high school. It was rare for him she had been the queen bee of the group even though she had been younger than some of the other girls. He had admired her for that matter. "It goes pretty well i'm rocking the single life which of course is always fun." He said boldly he was actually not upset with being single even if he did still have strong feelings for Kennedy. He was still gonna flirt around until she was ready to start something with him. "How's the queen bee been?" He asked with a smile on his face as he checked her out subtly. They continued to walk and as they did they walked past those group of girls who had been checking him out earlier. They had frowns on their faces somewhat disappointed that he had found a female friend to hang around with and it hadn't been them.

Blair laughed when he said 'sexy is an understatement'. "If you say so.." she said as she rolled her eyes, but then nodded in agreement "Agreed" she added as she gave him a wink. She listened to him briefly inform her of his single life and what not. “Sweet.. i too, am 'rocking the single life'.. which is beautiful” she said with a smile, as she laughed at herself for quoting him. She never said the word ‘rocking’, so that was mostly what had made her laugh. She shook her head as she looked back over at him. "The queen bee is good.. mostly just busy with parties.. and you know spending money.. what else? Cheerleading and not studying for exams.." she said with a smirk as she laughed a bit. She never studied for tests and exams, it seemed like such a waste of time, and only nerds studied.. Besides she always passed everything and sometimes got amazing marks with no work done. Maybe she had her father's law type brain or something, he always remembered facts and stuff.. which Blair had the ability to do as well.. it was a sweet gift. "So, what's this i hear about you breaking off your engagement to Rachel Miles?" she asked curiously, wanting to hear his side of the story.

He smirked as she mocked him a bit. He didn't mind at all of course. He of course had had a certain blonde on his mind as she said the single life was beautiful. He did like the single life but wouldn't mind settling down with Kennedy but like that would ever happen for him. He nodded as she went on about the usual list of what kept her busy. He chuckled a bit as she said she had been studying. No one in their social circle studied they were built to party and be popular. Of course Lance did well in school but he just got lucky most of the time. Hell he didn't even go to college now but that's because schooling had never been the thing for him. He was working on his music now even though not many people knew that he was good at it. The only person who had ever tried to get him out there and perform had been his brother Aiden. Though the two hardly spoke anymore so it wasn't like it mattered.

"I haven't been to a party in ages. Though I wouldn't want to be partying with high school kids anyway." He poked fun at the fact that she was still in high school. It's not like it mattered he was a year older than most high school kids so it wouldn't have been weird. Lance nodded as the name Rachel Miles was brought up, "Yup, we're done for good this time." He said firmly because he truly believed it. They weren't meant for each other they had tried again and failed once again. "I just wasn't happy anymore and I don't think it's fair for me to stick around and do that to her. Plus I hear she's moved on already. Which i'm happy for." He said glad to have heard she moved on. He had felt terrible when he had broken her heart a second time.

Blair nodded as she listened to Lance talk. "Parties are fun, but so high school.. you probably wouldn't have fun at them anymore. Well that's good about her moving on and stuff. Have you moved on yet?" she asked curiously. She wondered if he was dating anyone, she hadn't heard much gossip about Lance lately, since she usually heard stuff about him around town. Blair loved partying, and couldn't wait for college parties, she knew that they would be better then the high school ones.

He shrugged his shoulders, "Yeah plus if I showed up at high school party i'd be the only one everyone talked about." He said with much confidence in his voice as he smirked at her. Though that's how it always had been everyone had been interested in his life and what he had been doing when he had been in high school. Though this also had to do because he had caused one of the biggest scandals what with Kennedy Adams and all. Their social circle that year had been the thing to talk about. Everyone who had been in it. It was like they had been royalty of their high school. He nodded as she asked if he had moved on, "Yeah, I think i'm done with trying anymore. I mean I think about her every once in a while but that's not gonna make me jump up and run out to win her back. Plus I think Landon would kill me if I tried a third time." He said with a laugh. "I'm pretty sure I could take him though." He said winking at her as he reached out and flexed his arms. He had always been obsessed with staying in shape and looking really good.

Blair laughed as she looked over at his biceps and squeezed one of them as she smiled at him. "Nice" she said with a smile. "I bet you could bench me" she added as she winked at him. Blair only weighed 100 pounds so she figured Lance could easily lift her. She had always been a small girl and at one point tried to gain a bit of weight, but couldn't.. no matter how much she ate. A few people had asked her if she had an eating disorder before.. but she tried not to be insulted by that. This was the way her body was and she was proud of it.. though she did want to gain some muscle, that was for sure. She definitely wished she was stronger then she was. "And that's true, about the party thing.. if you showed up after all these years.. it'd be a bit weird.. but i'm having a welcome home party for Emma in about a week.. i'd love it if you could come. I promise it won't be weird, and it's my party i could invite whoever the hell i want.. and if any bitches say anything then there out" she said with a smirk as she laughed at her joke. She sometimes referred to her friends as bitches.. it was a slang the high school kids used.

He smirked as she said he could bench her. He stopped and looked at her then shrugged, "I don't know...you could just look really small but BAM! Not be small at all." He said jokingly as he winked at her. He stopped in his tracks causing her to stop to look at him. He had a wild smirk on his face as he lunged at her lifting her in his arms, "Nope. Not deceiving at all you truly are just that small." He said no harm meant it was just the truth. He listened to her talk about her party and was definitely in for it. He had always had a little crush on Emma even back in high school, yet she had always been with Landon so he had never gotten his chance. So he stayed close to her as a friend just to be around her and be a good friend whenever he could. "Yeah that sounds great she deserves a welcoming home party." He said glad that Blair was the person she was. She was a great friend but if you were on her bad side you better stay the fuck out of her way. "You still have my number?" He asked curiously as he looked at her in his arms having not put her down yet.

When Lance said she may not be as small as she was, she laughed. When he caught her off guard and picked her up, she screamed a bit and then laughed as he carried her. "Told ya!" she said with a smile. When he agreed to the party, Blair smiled. "Great! Of course i still do.. its on my phone" she said with a smirk. She had keept Lance's number after all these years, she just never got around to deleting it. "It should be a fun party.. lots of people have already rsvped yes.. so question are you ever going to put me down, or am i stuck here forever?" she asked with a smile as she looked up into his eyes.

He laughed as she screamed when he caught her off guard. He simply nodded at the information that she had given him about the part. He just wanted to go to hang out with Emma truthfully...well Blair as well but she was gonna be the hostess so he was sure she would have a lot on her plate. For a brief moment he figured that Landon might be at this party but then shook the thought from his mind. He wasn't gonna care about that kid anymore. Pretty much the only one he really wanted to see was Emma. "Alright good," he stated at the fact that she still had his number. He shrugged his shoulders as he looked into her eyes, "I guess I could let you down." He rolled his eyes as if it was a burden for him to do so. So he set her down and left his arm around her shoulder as he had before. "So how's Emma been?," he asked curiously as he looked over at her. He was trying to be subtle about the interest in the woman but he was truly curious and wondered how she had been. He figured Blair had seen her since they were, after all, best friends.

Blair smiled when he let her down and continued walking. When he asked about Emma, she wasn't surprised, she had always suspected that Lance had a thing for her.. truthfully she would prefer them to hook up then for her to get back with Landon.. but whatever. "She's been good.. just been busy with the baby.. and seeing old friends, and Landon too i guess.." she said. She sometimes couldn't believe that her best friend had a baby, it was so TV for high school kids to have babies. She knew Emma was a great mom and could handle it, because Blair knew if she were to get pregnant at this age, she definitely wouldn't be able to keep the baby and raise it.. "So your definitely coming to the party, right? Have you even seen Emma yet since she's been back?" she asked curiously, not having known.

He nodded glad to hear that she had been good. He had seen her but only for a little bit. He felt high school because he often checked his phone to see if she had called. He definitely had a crush on Emma Walker and now that he had seen her again it seemed to grow. As Blair said Landon's name he rolled his eyes. The rivalry between them was well known. He opened his mouth to say something about Landon but then shut it knowing it was useless to say anything. Lance nodded at the party idea. It would be great even though the only people he would probably talk to would be Emma and Blair. "Yeah i'll be there for sure." He looked over at Blair as they walked and as she asked if he had seen Emma he nodded with a smile, "Yeah I ran into her at the park. We talked for a bit but not much so I can't wait to see her at the party." He said grinning from ear to ear at this point.
