april was born and raised in pine hills, an area of orlando, florida. she grew up with nothing alongside three brothers, two sisters and her parents. her mother suffered from bi-polar disorder while her father was an idle man who didn't work but dabbled in petty crime and took all of his anger out on his family. she was a fairly happy child but when she had the chance to move out at sixteen to live with her boyfriend, she took it quickly. he was a gang leader, a hardened criminal but they were very in love. when she fell pregnant at nineteen, they both knew that they couldn't raise a baby in the environment that they lived in but april was too afraid to have an abortion. she ended up losing the baby and nobody could tell her why. it wasn't long after that her boyfriend was busted in a raid on their house and was charged with a list of crimes that meant he wouldn't be eligible for release for at least forty years. she knew she had to move on and so she moved to point pleasant where she had a friend. she slept on her couch for a month before she began selling herself to make money so she could get her own apartment. she's lived in point pleasant for three years now and she's still doing the same thing, except she now works for a guy who uses her more as a call girl to business men who need accompanying to events. sometimes she sleeps with them, sometimes they don't want to. but it's funding an amazing apartment, a gorgeous car and an extravagant lifestyle.

despite what she does, she's not actually an awful person. she can be a very loyal friend and so i imagine she'll have quite a few people that she's close to. they could either not know about her profession or they don't mind.

she can come across as a bit of a bitch sometimes because she's very strong-minded. people are obviously going to dislike her because of what she does.

she's going to fall in love with charlie stamford but obviously there are going to be a few different things. anybody that's hired her could be included or any flings that she may have had outside of work. there could also be any short term relationships she might have had, here or back in pine hills too but she hasn't been in love since she left josh so nothing too deep.

Abby is very shy and not that sociable. I think these two could be friends somehow? Without Abby knowing about Aprils job (though she should find out sometime) and she wouldn't judge her though, so yeah she could get Abby to come out of her shell a little more and be more confident maybe?
