Monday’s always sucked, but this particular one was extraordinarily painful for Ezra. Maybe it was the fact that he’d killed himself all weekend trying to finish a paper for his Lit Theory class and study for his Politics Final. Or maybe it had to do with the fact that last night, after he’d finally finished his homework, he went out and got schmammered. It wasn’t a typical Ezra move at all. The boy rarely got drunk and even when he did drink he usually just got buzzed. It must have been the stress that convinced him to do it. Honestly, he really didn’t know. He’d gotten so drunk that even his actions while sober were a bit fuzzy to him.
He sighed as he ran a hand over his head, which currently hurt like hell. By eleven o’clock in the morning he’d already downed three and a half water bottles and taken pain medicine, but nothing seemed to be helping. His throat was dry and a bit sore. He cleared his throat as he walked towards the dining commons for lunch. In his panic to get to campus on time that morning, he hadn’t been able to eat breakfast so by that time he was just about starving.
He looked down at his wrinkled, striped tank top and shook his head. Normal Ezra did not appear sloppy. On most days he might have taken the time to iron the tank top, but today he hadn’t had the time nor the energy. After thinking about it for a moment he decided he really didn’t care too much about wrinkled tank top. He just looked like any other guy at school that didn’t care about things like ironing.
The boy took the steps two at a time and presented his ID card to the student swiping the cards when it was his turn. ”Thanks very much.” [/color] He said, with a nod, when the card was returned to him. Ezra scanned the meal option in the cafeteria before deciding to go with a simple hamburger. After grabbing a plate he took a seat near the edge of the dining hall and began eating... Allie was at college for her last few finals, she was glad school was over but something made her not want it to be over for the year, it just meant that she was another year closer to actually having to go out into the real world and finding a job. Now Allie wasn’t the type who DIDN’T want to work, it was more that she didn’t want to grow up completely. She was still a kid at heart and she lived on her own with her friends but sometimes she didn’t like the responsibilities and knowing she had to get a job meant it was just another responsibility that was coming her way and she kind of hated that part, but in another sense it was exciting and she still had another few years at least so that was something. She didn’t mind it all really, it was just the thought that was scary, and she kept thinking about it so that was just making it all a little worse than it seemed. Things weren’t really all that bad at all, she had great friends, great family, a great boyfriend....well yeah, that was when things got complicated, really complicated.
After her exam she headed off to the on campus cafeteria. She never usually did but today she thought she may as well do since she had another exam, the last exam hadn’t gone badly, it was actually fairly good which was something and the next one was practice and she knew that she could do it with no problems at all. She was very intelligent after all, and with her twin not at college she was the one who had to make up for it, now that their older sister and brother were going into the world, well their sister having been four years older had been working in fashion for a few years now. She was lucky that she was very close with her siblings, because some people weren’t so fortunate and it was sad. Pulling the pair of sunglasses onto the top of her head that were on her face, Allie went into the cafe, she texted Caroline to see if she was done with her exam yet, knowing that she’d had one with fairly similar time to her. Ummm I’ll just have hamburger and fries please she smiled at the dinner lady. The woman tutted slightly and served the food, she then paid said ‘thank you’ and went to find a seat.
She saw one of her friends and decided to sit there instead of being on her own. hay, hope you don’t mind me coming to sit with you? she smiled as she took a bite of the burger and cringed slightly. The food here never does get any better does it? she laughed slightly. So how are you? she asked Glad school is nearly over for the year? Allie knew that she often spoke way too much, but that was just the kind of person she was, when did she ever want to not talk? She was a good listener too but she loved taling to people and making new friends, it was part of her friendly nature and she couldn’t really help it all that much could she? If she liked doing it then why should she stop? Though she knew some people found it annoying. Her exes friends didn’t like her all that much, but her friends didn’t like her ex much so it was kind of even, apart from the only reason they had to not like her was because she was friendly.
I am sooo glad it’s getting hot out again, I love this time of year she smiled and thought of last year when she and her friends spent most of the summer on the beach. She hoped that they could do the same this year. Have you any plans for the summer then? she asked putting a few fries in her mouth and then resting her head on her right hand facing him with a smile.
