" I'll see you guys tomorrow!" Ava called as she grabbed her bag off her station. It had been a long day, she worked twelve hours. All she wanted to do right now was go home and sleep for a year. But she knew that she couldn't do that. For starters because it was impossible and two because that would be a waste of a perfectly good day. She would attempt to tough it out for a few hours, until she passed out for the rest of the day and got some well earned sleep. She hated working twelve hour or sometimes even longer shifts. But she had to admit that she liked the perks of only having to work a few days a week to get her hours in, and then having a the rest of the week off. But normally she wasn't that lucky. Normally they would get over staffed and she would have to come in on her day off. But don't take that wrong, Ava absolutely loved her job. Her life was never dual working in the emergency room. She was always constantly on the ball, running around like a chicken with her head cut off. And well if it hadn't been for the Emergency room, she would never had met her boyfriend. She smiled thinking about him, as she pulled into the parking lot of the grocery store. She decided she was going to pick up some stuff to make breakfast for herself and Addy if she was awake. It was the early hours of the morning. Around six, she wasn't sure if her best friend would be awake yet or not. The only downfall of living with her best friend, Ava always felt guilty when she came in at all hours of the morning because of her job. But she loved having Addy and Hanna there. It was the only thing that kept her sane most days. When Ava's parents died, and left her their house, she couldn't bear the thought of getting rid of it. She had grown up there, her parents had worked hard to buy that house. She wanted her kids to grow up here. She was happy when Addy had finally agreed to move in with her. If she had lived by herself Ava wasn't exactly sure if she would have been able to handle it. It was a big house, and usually when Ava was left by herself she started thinking about her parents and her brother. Especially when she was in the house by herself. Ava sighed, now she was thinking about her parents. She picked up a bunch of fruit, deciding that she was going to make fruit salad and pancakes for breakfast. Maybe even some scrambled egg whites. She was starving, she was pretty sure that she could eat a whole cow at this point. Ava paid for the fruit and the other stuff she needed and went back out to her car. She was really starting to get tired, she was afraid she was going to fall asleep while she was driving home. She shook her head, trying to shake the sleepiness away. Then she turned on the radio, putting on the country station, Ava definitely loved country music, sure she liked other forms of music too. But she really loved country music. She turned it up so that it would keep her awake as she made the drive home. It wasn't really that long of a drive. Once she had pulled into the driveway, she turned the engine off and grabbed the groceries from the passenger seat. She locked the car with the door locks instead of her controller, because she didn't want her horn to honk. She yawned as she put the key in the door. Considering skipping breakfast and just going straight to bed for a couple hours. But just as the thought crossed her mind, her stomach growled sounding like she kept a small lion in there. " Alright, alright I get it, I'll feed you jeeze." She whispered as he turned the key and the knob and pushed her way in the house. She yawned again as she walked to the kitchen and carefully and quietly as she could got the stuff ready to make breakfast. She made enough pancake mix that once she was done there would be some left for Addy and Hanna when they woke up. She poured some into the pan on the store and as it cooked, she washed and cut some of the fruit and put it into a big bowl. She flipped the pancake and got a smaller pan to make her scrambled eggs. Ava was trying to be as quite as possible, she didn't want to wake her roommates up. She took the pancake out of the pan and poured another one in. Setting the one that was done onto a plate. She put a some plastic wrap over the container that had the remainder of the pancake mix in it and took it to the fridge. After she placed it on a shelf she grabbed the orange juice and poured it into a glass that she had set onto the counter earlier. She than put it back, and went back over to the stove. Ava flipped the pancake in the pan over, and finished cooking her scrambled eggs, placing them on the plate next to the first pancake. By this time the second pancake was finished and she put it on top of the other and finished it off with some fruit salad on top. Ava walked the bowl with the rest of the fruit to the fridge and than grabbed her plate and took it the kitchen table with some silverware and sat down. She needed to take a second before she started to eat. She yawned again and propped her elbows up on the table placing her head in her hands for a second closing her eyes just for a second... or so she thought.
