[/COLOR][/B]: Brett stands about 5'10 and is littered with tattooes. He has dark hair and usually at least stubble on his face. He gets lazy when it comes to shaving, but he will never let it grow into a full beard. He dresses pretty casual most of the time, but it really does depend on the situation. He does not mind having to get dressed up to go out on the town. He has taken very good care of himself and works out regularly, so he does like to show off his physique by wearing form fitting shirts. If it's hot he'll even take the damn thing right off if he's in a place where it can be done. He loves jeans more than anything else, and he wears boxer briefs mostly. When he's working on restoring his old mustang he'll wear dirty old clothes though, but that's usually in his own backyard so not too many people see him.
personality: Rough around the edges is the best way to classify him. He usually walks around on edge, and sometimes it's the easiest things that can set him off. People like to blame his mood swings on his drinking, but what they don't know is he's not as heavy of a drinker as they all think. He'll have a few now and then to calm down, but it's not like he's an alcoholic (his girlfriend can vouche for that). He is not much of a fighter, but if he does get into it with someone he's quick to throw the first punch once provoked enough. He's not afraid to speak his mind, and of course that'll get him in trouble nine times out of ten. He likes to think there is a chip on his shoulder and that he's better than everyone, something he knows to be false but it's nice to pretend, but around his girlfriend he's a completely different person. A brute to the outside world and yet to her he's gentle and caring. A single touch from her could send his raging moods into submission and she can always make him feel better, so around her it's like he's a whole new person. In the end he's not too bad, just a bit misunderstood and sometimes plays on that, but he's a pretty stand up guy when he needs/wants to be.
likes: music, karaoke, tattooes, dancing in the rain, going for long runs, alcohol, cooking, his old mustang (currently a work in progress), playing guitar, romantic gestures, old horror movies, informercials, public intoxication, pushing peoples buttons, getting under peoples skin, having the last word, winning an arguement, and of course his girlfriend.
dislikes: fast food restaurants, cigarette smoke (ex-smoker, can't stand smell now), music where you can't even understand the people singing, when his car breaks down, public transportation, men who hit on his girlfriend, losing any arguements, romantic chick flicks, running out of alcohol after the liquor store has closed, and when he upsets people he cares about.
strengths: his music career, when he commits to something he doesn't quit until he gets the job done, he's a smooth talker so that gets him out of a lot of sticky situations, being that protective boyfriend that Emilee deserves, and he stands up for the little guy.
weaknesses: he is very stubborn, does not like to take no for an answer, is quick to judge, breaks promises left and right, and will put his music career for anything/anyone (sometimes even his girlfriend).[/ul][/SIZE][/FONT]

history: Brett was born into a musically enriched family, so it only made sense that he'd follow that path his entire life. From a young age his father put a guitar in his hand and taught him how to play, and at every family event (bbq's to thanksgiving dinner) him and his dad would sing and play for the masses). He had such a weak voice when he was just a boy, but as he grew up he definitely grew into that voice and now calls it soulful (and others say impressive). His mother had always been by his side urging him to follow his dreams, as was his father, but at the same time they hoped that whatever path he decided on would pay off in the end. The pair got their son into lessons and band when he started school, and straight throughout his years they followed him and were his biggest fans as they kept him on the right path. It wasn't until about middle school when his personality really came out. Kids were constantly picking on him because his voice was much higher and almost had a girl-ish quality to it, and when he sang people would call him Britney. It pissed him off that so many people would bully him, so instead of just taking it something in him snapped and he fought back. His father knew he was getting in trouble at school, so to help his son he paid for him to take some self defense and karate classes. Once in High School he was not one you wanted to tamper with, and he knew that as he walked around like he was gods gift to the community. He started going to the gym lifting weights as he'd gotten a high school discount, so not only did he know self defense and karate but now he was starting to tone those muscles even more making them "deadly weapons" as he put it so often.

Out of high school he tried college, the community college that is, but it just wasn't for him and considering he wanted to be a musician he didn't think he even needed it. He started to drag around the city with just his guitar playing shows here and there, and he'd even gotten himself a nice break or two playing small gigs. The tattooes came after most of his experiences, so to look all over his upper torso it's pretty much just a bunch of memories drawn together. He found himself a band when he was in his early twenties, and the four of them made a nice stack of cash going around playing weddings and all other events. Their biggest break had been about a year ago when they were slated for live entertainment during some fashion show, and that is actually where he met his girlfriend, but after that show the group broke up within months and now he's left alone again hoping to rebuild a powerhouse band and climb to the top once more. This time he knows it will be so much better knowing that he has Emilee by his side, and with her keeping him grounded he might be able to make it further than ever before. [/ul][/SIZE][/FONT]
