general info
True had a rough childhood, though growing up with a meth head as a mom would do that to you. His father left after his sister was born, seeing that things were only getting worse from there. Truett and his sister haven't seen/heard from him since. As a kid they moved from house to house, seeing things a child should never have to witness. True grew up taking care of his sister and really having no time to be a kid. And each day his mom would come back from getting high he would have mentally prepare himself for whatever state she would come back in. Some days she would come back and be overly sweet to her children, and other days she would come back and be nothing but cruel to them. It was enough to drive anyone a little crazy with instability. He did his best to shield his sister from seeing as much as he did growing up.

Truett has made sure his sister stayed out of trouble, but had a hard time doing the same for himself. With money always being an issue for his family he began to steal cars with some friends to help pay the bills. He hasn't been caught yet and has actually become pretty good at it. He may come off as a bad kid, but it always comes back to him finding a way to provide for his family with the resources he's been given, which isn't much. True moved with his mother and sister back to their grandmother's house. It didn't take long before his mother began to take advantage of their grandmother by letting her 'friends' move into the house. Now the house is overrun with drug addicts and criminals of all kinds. Truett is looking to move out and bring his sister with him as soon as he turns 18, but that won't be for a while.

the allies
Truett has spent his entire life in Point Pleasant. He will do his best to keep his friends away from his home life, not wanting to expose them to that kind of a life. He cares about all his friends deeply, though he may push them away from time to time when things get rough on his end. He is extremely trustworthy and would never break his word if he promises someone something it'll get done. True will probably have a handful of friends from all different kinds of backgrounds because he isn't the type to judge.

the enemies
Truett likes to instigate and start fights so i'm sure there will be people who disapprove of this. He harbors a lot of anger towards his mother, but always ends up taking it out on someone else. He also steals cars and various other things to make ends meet. Also, if True feels like he's being attacked, or judged harshly, he will go on the defense and it will be hard to get him to open up again.

the romantics
Truett is a big flirt and can be a big romantic when he wants to be. He tends to shy away from his relationship when things begin to get serious. He doesn't like to talk about his mom, or anything that went on in his past. So once a girl begins to ask questions about his personal stuff he either will break it off a few days later, or simply close up and wait for her to break up with him.

OLIVIA and TRUETT True and Liv could probably get along great from the sound of things. He's had a rough past and her's hasn't been all that great (though she's dealing with her father abandoning her whereas Truett's going through a lot more shit). I don't think that she would ever ask him questions about his home life, and maybe while the two are around each other they use one another as distractions? She can get really depressed sometimes to where she wants to just lock herself away in her room, so perhaps when her bestie Lindsay isn't available she turns to Truett? They both have lived in Pleasant their entire lives, so i'm sure they'd know each other at least, but if you want them to have a close relationship that'd be entirely alright! I'd love for him and Liv to be close with one another!

Lily and Truett

Okay so I was thinking this, and you can shoot me down if you want. Maybe True's grandma lives next door to Lily's parents house. So they could have bonded over that, He could see how fucked up her family life is, and maybe see he's not alone. Maybe she could be one of the people that he steals cars with? Cause both of her parent are Alcoholics with no jobs, so she could have to get money somehow? I think they could end up being pretty close because they both come from fucked up homes, so they know what its like. She'd never push him to talk about her home life, and I feel like he wouldn't push her either.

Truett&Olivia
Truett could definitely be there for her whenever she needed him. He could definitely use her as a distraction, but would probably become very attracted to the distraction. (Anything to help him forget his home life becomes a bit of an addiction because he feels like a new person without worrying about what's going on at home all the time). I think these two could be very close friends considering they've both lived here their entire lives.


Truett&Lily
I actually reallllly like this idea! True wouldn't ever push the subject of her parents with her because he knows that it's a sensitive subject. Although, he would want to be there for her whenever things got rough because no one should have to deal with what they have to alone. He would be wary about letting her steal cars with him, but I could see him getting over it and letting her come along once he was comfortable with the idea. I think these two could definitely be close friends

That sounds great. She would want to be there for him as well when he needed her or when things got crazy at his house. She would always let him stay in her room if he needed to get away from everything.
