Nestled along the coast of New Jersey sits Point Pleasant, a community that looks picturesque to the outside world, making constant advances to bring them into the new century all thanks to the mayor. What started out as just a farming town with a small elementary school has turned into so much more, area farmers selling their land back to the town to bring in a High School and College, as well as a buzzing main street and other high end retail and food locations.
Point Pleasant is hardly recognizable anymore to the locals, but it's still home so many stay well past when their welcome ends. Many travel to Point Pleasant, real estate selling quick, as it's so prosperous with much return to the investors, but once they get into their homes they feel different. Point Pleasant, a name itself shouting that it's a homey place to call your own, is turning into being anything but pleasant. There's something about this city that keeps you around, and soon you're considered a local yourself - and something we can never understand is once you're a local there's no leaving.
You find your life turning upside down as you're introduced to the other locals, start mingling amongst one another, and before you know it you're capsized in a world of lust, greed, jealousy, anger, and angst. If you survive your trials and tribulations the city throws at you Point Pleasant can be rewarding, love and commitment budding from the pain and suffering. There's just something about this place that brings out the worst, sometimes followed by the best, in people - you just have to be smart and navigate through the best you can.
