By joining Point Pleasant RPG you are agreeing to follow all of these rules.
The Registration,
- Each person is allowed 4 characters on this site. If you would like more, permission from an administrator must be given. Also, one of those characters must be a boy and they must all be active.
- We will have an activity check every month to make sure that your character is active. If you miss the period to check in, your character will be deleted.
- No overly large signatures. We don't want them to stretch out our page, it makes things look weird and it sometimes get annoying. Be reasonable when putting on a signature please.
- OOC fighting will not be tolerated. You do it, and we have the rights to ban you from this site. You may, of course, fight In Character while posting, but fighting with a character's handler will cause trouble and there will be consequences.
- This is an intermediate-advanced role-play site, which means that some of the posts must be lengthy and well written. We ask that there are a minimum of two (5-8 sentences) paragraphs per post, but we do realize that sometimes not everyone can post that much each time. We do accept those that write a solid paragraph, just make sure there is something the other member involved in the thread can work with. As for grammar, try and keep it at a fairly high level. We understand that people make typos but a post riddled with errors is not what we're looking for.
The Application,
- No Gary-Stu’s. As this is an advanced board, we expect the characters to be well developed. This means there have to be flaws and points of weakness. Things they’re good at it, things they detest. Nobody’s perfect so please keep your character realistic.
- Before your profile is accepted do not post anywhere else on the site. That even means the OOC boards, you must wait until acceptance!
- Your character must be represented by a person. Not a drawing, but an actual person. It can be an unknown model or a celebrity face. After you have chosen one remember to claim it in the Face Claim.
- Whether you get accepted or not depends entirely on your profile. Don't just rush through it – actually work on it because it can help you feel out who your character is.
The Regulations,
- This board is rated PG-13, which means that although sex, drugs, and violence are allowed to happen around here we ask that you fade to black. Proboards regulations state you can't have a mature board, so we ask that you don't get your threads too graphic. I'm sure we've all seen how far PG-13 movies/shows can go, so try to keep it within those limits (if you have a question ask a staff).
- You are allowed to have a pregnant character on here, but you must contact a staff to ask first (unless if it's written into their profile in which case we are completely fine with). We don't want fifteen pregnant women walking around, that'd just be odd, but if it's a good plot device to move things forward just let us know. We're not going to be too harsh, we just like to know the huge plot lines that are happening around the group.
- Cursing is allowed, but please don't make it a first language for your character. No one goes around cursing all the time.
- God-modding is a definite no. If you're having problems and want to do something in the post that could even slightly be god-modding please PM the member you're writing with to see if it's okay.
- You may advertise for other sites, but only in the advertisement board, not on your signature or in any of your posts. Also if you're advertising on our site know that we're going to want to link back, and if that can't happen we'll delete your advertisement even if you are a member around here.
- Have fun! Because when you have fun, we have fun – and that's all we really want, right?
