Turning back time ((Lance<3))

Rachel stood on her favourite spot on the beach, wearing black capris, and a black tank top under a purple Juicy sweatshirt. She had her silver flip flops in her left hand. She was looking into the ocean as she smiled to herself. Being back here, in Pleasant and on the beach brought back so many memories. She felt like she was back in high school again and a wave of nostalgia washed over her. She was happy to be back home, even though it was only for a short while.. but she missed her hubby to be. She had only talked to Lance once since her arrival in Pleasant, she wondered what he was up to back home..

Rachel took out her Blackberry from her back pocket and checked her voicemail, maybe he had called while she was at the gym earlier.

Lance had texted Ava earlier to see if she knew where Rachel was luckily she had. Lance was quickly driving through the streets and pulled into one of the makeshift parking lots by the beach. He got out wearing a striped blue and white button down shirt and some khaki shorts. He walked down the shoreline looking for Rachel eager to see her. Even though it had only been a short time it felt like forever since he had seen his fiancee. He finally spotted her. Luckily she was facing the water and he was behind her. He saw she had her phone in hand and a brilliant idea had popped into his head. He quickly pulled his phone out and he quickly texted her.

Hey baby just wanted to text you and let you know I love you....oh and you look really beautiful tonight

He smirked as he waited for her reaction as he stood behind her his arms crossed.

Rach felt her phone vibrate as she listened to a message left by one of her staff. She opened her text messages and saw she had a new one from Lance. She smiled to herself as she read it. How does he he know what i look like? she thought to herself. She heard someone shuffle behind her, so she quickly turned around. She screamed when she saw who it was. "Hey!" she yelled out as she jumped into his arms and wrapped her arms around him. She had a huge smile on her face as they hugged. "What are you doing here?" she asked, confused. She squeezed him as they hugged and kissed his check.

Lance laughed at her excitement as he wrapped his arms easily around her. "Hey gorgeous." He said as he quickly kissed her on the lips. "Well you know I get bored without you." He said struggling from keeping a smile on his lips as he pouted. He set her feet back down on the ground as he kept his arms around her, "So how's my girl been?" He asked wondering how she'd been liking her deserved vacation back home. He knew how she had missed this place and especially Ava. He was just hoping they wouldn't bump into Kennedy while they were here. He knew how his emotions went for a ride when he was around Kenn. He was sure he loved Rachel with all his heart, but Kennedy always had a small place reserved. He brushed her bangs away from her eyes as he smiled down at her.

Rach kissed him back and smiled as she looked at him. She keept her arms around his neck when he put her down. She laughed when he said he gets bored without her. "I'm good! I missed you so much! I know it's only been a few days but still.. Seriously, i feel like there's so much to tell you.. umm Ava got divorced and then married again.. to Jack! Oh, and she's pregnant!" she exclaimed, she was really excitied for her friend, and couldn't hide it. She was looking forward to what Lance would say.

Lance smirked as he knew all of this but decided to put a shocked face on to play the part. "Wow that's awesome..." He said smiling down at her. "...seems like we missed a lot." He said knowing he had missed this place, but did not regret moving to New York with his beautiful fiancee. Lance had left Aiden behind he was tired of putting up with his binge drinking and other habits he was tired of him bringing him down. Though he knew he'd have to check in with his brother to see if anything had changed. This had been the longest time he had gone without contact with his only family he had left and he was ok with it sadly enough. He looked down at the girl he held in his arms and knew he had made the right choice. He kissed her again quickly for his own reassurance and smiled as he looked out at the water.

Rach kissed him back and smiled. "Yeah, alot has changed.. Oh, guess what! Ava's going to be my made of honour, and she's going to come to New York to visit before the wedding, and help out with last minute wedding things. Yay!" she exclaimed happily. Rach was really looking forward to Ava coming to visit and of course, the wedding. It was so soon! She hoped Lance was equally excitied and was okay with Ava coming to visit. She wondered if he had seen her yet. "Have you seen Ava yet by the way?" she asked, curiously.

"Wow that's awesome Rach....I still haven't got a best man." He said shrugging his shoulders. He wanted to ask Aiden but that would first require making sure his brother wasn't a boozer. "I actually bumped into Ava the other day." He said grinning his goofy grin. "She looks happy and that's good." He said glad his friend was happy considering the divorce and all that had happened while they were gone. "I don't think i've ever met Jack before though have you?" He asked curious about this knew guy that had swept Ava off her feet after she had been so into Blake. Though then again Lance had been gone for so long it wasn't really his place to say anything.

"Seriously? You really need to work on that hun.. i mean the wedding is so soon!" Rach said, freaking out a little bit. She wanted everything to be perfect for the wedding and when little things went wrong, she got really anxious. The fact that Lance still didn't have a best man was starting to worry Rach a little bit. "Yeah, she does. I couldn't even tell she's pregnant. I have met Jack before, when the two dated in high school. He's a nice guy, i talked to him the other day at the cafe.. he told us congratulations. Hey, maybe he could be your best man.." she said, only half joking.

Lance laughed, "Maybe but I kinda wanted to see if Aiden wanted to do it...." He said looking at her questioningly. Rachel had never been fond of Aiden since that night Aiden had hit on Rachel when he had been trashed. "Though maybe we can do a double date thing with Ava and Jack to get to know him and all." He said shrugging at the idea. Lance needed all the guy friends he could get. He had never been big with the guys since he was a ladies man back in high school. They had envied him therefore he had never really had a good guy friend besides his brother and that didn't turn out well. Though he knew he would have to find a best man soon to ease Rachel's mind she was already going through a lot he could tell. Lance wanted to help in some ways, but most of the time he was busy at work and he hoped Rachel understood that.

Rach sighed, but then smiled at him. "Yeah, that sounds great! I'll set it up" she said, thinking she could call Ava later. "But, I don't know about Aiden, for sure he could do it, if he was up for it.. but i'm totally over the whole thing, it's all good" she said, thinking that it had happened so long ago, and he was Lance's only brother, she hoped the two could sort out their issues before the wedding. "If not.. maybe Adam from work can be your best man?" she suggested, thinking of one of Lance's co-workers who she had met a few times. She wished Lance had a few more guy friends to make it easier to pick a best man. She looked at her future husband and smiled at him. "I can't wait to marry you" she said with a grin as she played with his hair lovingly.

Lance smiled back down at her. He can't believe she had forgiven him for all the shitty things he had done to her in the past. He was so undeserving of her but somehow she still wanted him in her life. He wasn't about to screw that up so when she had moved to NYC and wanted him to go with her he jumped at the chance. This way he could be away from the temptation of Kennedy. He knew he still had feelings for her, but the less he saw her the more he had hoped those would fade. He missed though his son that he wouldn't be able to help raise. "I still can't believe sometimes that you're in my life." He said smiling down at the beautiful girl placing a hand on her cheek and caressing it gently.

Rachel smiled as she looked into his eyes. "Me too.." she said with a grin. She hoped Lance was as happy as she was. She sometimes wondered if he regretted moving to New York with her, if he missed being in Kennedy and his son's life. Truthfully, she felt a bit guilty for taking him away from them, but the selfish part of her won as she wanted him all for herself. "Oh my god, i just realized, you're here.. so what did you do with Roxie?" she asked, a look of concern now visible on her face. Roxie was their one year old golden retriever puppy.

"Don't worry..." He laughed as he saw the sign of worry wash over her face, "I had Melanie take care of Roxie." Melanie was the teenager of the two parents that lived beneath Rachel and Lance. He had made sure Roxie would be ok since Rachel loved the dog so much. "She misses you though would always go and lay on your side of the bed when I went to sleep." He said smirking at the remembrance of the dog laying on Rachel's pillow. He sighed as he looked out at the ocean with a smile on his face as he took the beach night air in. It was such a beautiful night to be out and he was glad he was sharing it with Rachel.

Rach smiled and breathed a sigh of relief. "Good, for a second.. i thought you left her alone" she said with a smirk, though she knew Lance was more responsible than that. "So what have you been up to since i left?" she asked, although she knew she had only been gone for a few days. "How are your vows coming?" she asked anxiously. She was having the hardest time writing hers, she keept having these reoccuring nightmares where they were up at the alter and nothing would come out of her mouth. She would wake up in cold sweats everytime. She knew once the wedding was over she would be able to relax, but until then.. her mind was constantly racing, thinking of the things she had to do.. it was exhausting.
