Kennedy nodded when she heard her talk about her ex, and how her son had looked so much like him. Kenn had been in the same boat, he had looked like her at birth, but as he grew up his features all seemed to fall to what Lance had looked like. She had hoped that her son looked like her, but still he was very handsome because Lance had been a gorgeous man. He still was actually but Kenn couldn't admit that to anyone.
"Horrible?" She asked curiously looking at the girl. She hated hearing women that had been abused in any way (either physical or emotional), and couldn't help but go back to her own situation. "How long ago?" She asked softly not forcing her to talk, she knew that people who had been in very bad situations didn't really like to talk about it too freely.

"I last saw him a few days before I moved here, but last time I was dating him was when I was thirteen." Autumn had silent tears running down her cheeks as she added in a whisper, "I still have scars from being with him." They were reminders of how he would always be, of how she didn't want her son to be. "It scares me that my son might end up like his father." She would do whatever she could to stop him from being like his father, she wiped her cheeks so her son wouldn't see her crying.

Kenn could see the girl starting to cry but didn't know what she should do at this moment. She had never been that good at telling someone they would be okay, and she had spent many nights herself crying into her pillow wanting what she knew was impossible to have. When the girl had mentioned the scars though Kenn let out a soft sigh, she wished there was something that she could say to tell the girl she'd be alright, but she knew the girl would always fear that the boys father would try something else.
"If he has a good mother he won't turn out violent," She said with a soft tone as her son started to squirm wanting out of the swing, so she went and picked him up out of it and put him down so he could walk along the ground. He loved walking around, Kenn wouldn't let him get too far but she would let him wander at least a little ways. He normally didn't go far anyway, he'd stop to pick blades of grass or dandelions mostly, so she knew he'd be okay walking around. She kept an eye on him at all times though, momentarily looking at the other girl wishing she'd feel better. "And from the looks of it he's got a great mother." The girl had said the last time she'd been with him was thirteen, so at least Kenn knew that she must have been around 15 or 16 right now.

"I hope so, I don't know much about Jeff's parents so I don't know if they abused him or not." Autumn said as she watched her son, she had really hoped he would look like her more then Jeff but from the moment he was born he looked like his father. She smiled a bit as he son swung his feet as he again started sucking on the carrot. "I wish that trick about Superman would get him to wear his hat but he always says 'Superman no wear hat'." She smiled as she watched Gryff, she wished she had brought some apple slices.

"I'm sure he'll turn out fine, darling." Kenn said trying to reassure her once more. She hadn't heard of too many cases of men growing up to be abusive just because they were abused by their parents, she always thought there was more to it than that. She knew there was something about control that made men hit their women, and she also knew that most abusers were still out there on the street ready and more than willing to claim their next victim. "You must have been strong to get out of it when you did," She said with a small smile looking at the girl. She had watched TV when the shows had talked about abusive relationships, and how the girls had been too scared of their lives to even run away from them, so this girl had been pretty great to be able to get out of it when she did. "Does your son even know his dad at all?" She asked, already knowing the answer probably though if the girl didn't want anything to do with him.
"You should tell him it's a disguise so people don't know it's him." She said with a quick chuckle watching her son bent over to pick at some blades of grass. He plucked a few and brought them back to his mother giving them to her, Kenn holding onto them as she watched him go right back to where he had been before and start doing it again. "He doesn't want people to know his identity does he?" She knew that the little boy hadn't been old enough to understand any of that though, but it was always worth a shot.

Autumn shook her head, "No, and I wish his father didn't know he had a son." She watched her son look up at Kennedy and just tilt his head. She thought her son was the best thing that had happened to her. Her thoughts the drifted to her parents, she hadn't seen them since she left. Autumn wondered how they were doing and if Jeff was bugging them about where she was.

"I think it's better that he does though," Kenn said speaking up after remembering herself say those same words about Lance. Sure, Lance hadn't abused her in anyway, but she still was upset with him beyond control, but since finding out he'd had a son she had seen a turn around in him, as though he'd started to get more mature for having brought a living creature into this world. "Maybe he'll realize that the son could have been the best thing that had happened to him too, and he could change wanting to be a better person or something?" Kenn shrugged not knowing anything about those sort of men, luckily she hadn't came in contact with one yet and didn't plan to anywhere in the future. "Some men try to change their actions when things like that happen, you know?" She asked softly not wanting to upset the girl, but she did think that everyone should know if they have a child or not. Women shouldn't keep such information from them in hopes that maybe the men would change for the better after finding out.

"Yeah, well you don't know Jeff, he's not the type to change just because of a baby. Besides he knows about his son and my parents said that if he wanted anything to do with Gryff he would be fighting for custody of him." Autumn said not trying to sound rude, she looked at her son as he was sucking on the carrot. She sighed as she added, "Besides he didn't seem all that interested in seeing his son just interested in why I went through the pregnancy."

Kennedy listened to the girl as she talked about her ex, and how if he'd wanted to be in his sons life he'd be fighting for custody. "Maybe he's not fighting because he knows he can't win?" She wanted to say that quietly but of course spoke out loud before she could even think to keep her mouth quiet. She wasn't sounding rude at all by any means, that hadn't been the type of person she was, but still she knew that in most cases the woman could always win when put up against the father. A judge would normally always side with them, no matter how great the male may be, and plus fighting for custody could be such a costly manner. Thinking about this made Kenn happy to know that Lance had been a good man, or at least somewhat of one, but she just wished he could stop disappearing so much on her. She wished Ryan's father was in his life, but knew that wasn't going to happen with his disappearing act.
"Why did you go through with it?" Kenn asked again not wanting to be rude, but this girl was so young and had her whole life ahead of her, and having a baby completely changed what she could have done. Kenn had her entire life ahead of her, got pregnant and couldn't even imagine giving her child up, and now she'd been in a completely different situation than she had before Ryan. She loved him with all her heart though, and abortion had definitely been something that she had been very against, so that was never an option, so in a sense she was happy that the girl didn't want to do something like that.

"Well, I didn't want to abort because I believe it's murder and I was going to put him up for adoption but then when I first saw him on the screen, you know where you can tell it's a baby, I just couldn't bare with giving him away. Sure it was a bit horrible at first but with my parents around teaching me what I needed to know it got a little easy." Autumn smiled as she looked at her son, he had been trying to talk to the other baby. She wouldn't change a thing even if she could, she lost her smile as she thought about Jeff again. She had been thinking about him allot and always wondered if he would ever change.
