Aiden took in her words but he was stuck on the love part. So she had loved him he had partly known but to hear her say it made him feel like he could jump up and run a marathon. He looked at his legs and then thought otherwise. He stayed quiet as he looked up at her. She was cute when she got angry. God he was getting so distracted that he had missed some of the things she had said but he couldn't help it. He understood the kiss it just had left him in a kind of high and hope that things would just fall back into step and they could go about their normal business together. Now as the high was gone he understood and was okay with it but still glad to hear she had wanted that kiss.

Though he was kind of taken back when she said getting rid of her love for him wasn't easy. He hoped she didn't want to get rid of those feelings. He hoped she would want them to hopefully stay and they could get back together over time and keep the love they shared for each other. He nodded and agreed with her, "Those feelings are hard to get rid...I just hope you don't have intentions of getting rid of them in time when I show you i'm not going anywhere." He said quietly looking up at her. He was so serious about getting his point across to her. He wanted to beat it in her head that he wasn't leaving her ever again. He wasn't going to do something stupid and if something like him getting drafted happens again he will call her and let her know this time. Though he was pretty sure it was never gonna happen again and he was glad that it wouldn't.

He couldn't take it anymore, being this far from her was driving him crazy. He pushed himself up holding his balance and as she was in mid-pace he grabbed her around the waist and pulled her into him. He pressed his lips on hers sharing a passionate kiss that lasted a little longer than her first one. He parted his lips from hers but quickly left a short sweet kiss on her lips before letting her go. He wanted to keep his arms wrapped around her but was sure the kiss was already pushing it. He couldn't help himself when he was around her he was addicted to having her close to him. He loved her touch and her gentleness. He wasn't even going to say he was sorry for that because in all honesty he wasn't sorry and he would let her know that if she asked.

As he started to talk Steph couldn't even hear him since she'd been so consumed in her own ramblings. She had to get it all off her chest though, he had kept asking questions and for once she needed to start giving him answers. She had never been the person to hold anything back from Aiden, he had known her entirely and now couldn't be different, she wouldn't let that happen. As she ended her ramblings she kept pacing trying to think about anything else she needed to tell him, but her thoughts were short lived as the man had pulled her into him and kissed her.

She let her body sink into his as she kissed him back not knowing what else to do right now with him, and even though she wouldn't admit it that had been something she'd been missing from him. His lips against hers as his hands held onto her, everything just seemed so perfect as she stood there so close to him. When his lips broke from hers though she looked down for a moment not knowing why he'd done that, or why he'd stopped for that matter. Had she done something wrong to make him stop? Ugh, she just couldn't get ahold of her emotions right now as they took her on some lame ass rollercoaster ride.

Then his hands dropped from her, something else she hadn't expected, and she just stood there in shock so close to him. Part of her wanted to pull back and stand opposite him to be as far as she could from him at that moment, but still she stood there unsure of the next move. Her eyes slipped from the ground back to his eyes as there had been a flustered look on her face, and then her eyes trailed down to his lips right there doing nothing so close to her. She picked herself up just slightly needing to grow that extra inch to reach them with ease, and slowly she pressed her lips against his needing an extra kiss. At that moment she had felt at peace once again, but who knew how long that would happen with the way she'd been acting.

Aiden bit his lip after he had let his arms fall from her. He examined her face and saw the shock that he had just left her after his lips left hers. So as she approached him again and leaned up on her toes to reach his lips easily. Aiden kissed her back and quickly wrapped his arms around her pulling her back into him. He leaned back against the brick wall as he pulled her with him. He reached his hand up and caressed her cheek as he kissed her a bit more intensely. He could never hold his emotions back when he was this close and intimate with her.

He slowly pulled his lips from hers and leaned his forehead against hers opening his eyes to look into hers, "Well...that was pleasantly unexpected." He said with a small grin on his lips as he brushed his finger against her chin and kept one arm wrapped around her waist as she leaned into him.

His eyes searched hers as he was slightly confused now. These two were in a dysfunctional state. They would go from arguing with one another to have a mini make out session a few minutes later. He knew this wasn't right but when around Steph he couldn't help himself. Her beauty and everything about her just overwhelmed him and he couldn't contain himself. He bit his lip as he continued to look in her eyes. He kissed the tip of her nose then rested his forehead back against hers. He now didn't want to let go of her because he felt comfortable with her body leaning against his. "Soooo..." He said quietly cracking a smile as he continued to keep eye contact. He didn't know what to say after something like that. He sure as hell didn't want to ruin what had just happened because it had been amazing for him.

She let her head fall to rest on his chin as she closed her eyes taking in the moment. She knew she was still upset with him but right now that didn't seem to matter so much. To her she thought more about how he'd been standing by himself for much longer than she'd expected, sure he had some support of the wall, but still he'd been making an effort and that had meant something to her. Plus the fact that he hadn't had a cigarette the entire time she'd been there with him, but she couldn't help but think he'd craved one at least in the slightest right? It did make her happy knowing he could hold off of them while around her though, that made this moment all the better. She wouldn't have been able to stay so close if she would have smelt smoke on his clothing, it just wasn't the scent she was used to when it came to him.

She decided it'd been time to back away though so she let her arms slip to his sides giving him a hug, she hadn't been able to reach entirely around him because of the wall, but after the hug she pulled herself from him and walked back over to the crate she'd been sitting on. "So what?" She asked almost still in shock of what had happened. One thing was for sure though, she had loved what had just happened between the two of them, but she wasn't about to just tell him that even though the enjoyment was written all over her face by the smile and blush red cheeks she'd had.

"I guess I don't know where to go from here," She said looking up at him now catching his gaze. She let out a soft sigh, why had things been so complicated with the two of them? She wanted so much to just forget everything that had happened to upset her and be happy with him again, and she was going to make sure that things between the two started to get better. "I just know I want you around, Aiden. The old you, the one I cared for." She spoke quietly but still loud enough for him to hear him. "I want to spend time with you and be there for you, I just want you to be there for me too. No more leaving and the such, and if you do leave at least tell me goodbye." She had hoped he wouldn't leave her again, she couldn't handle much more of that.

Aiden nodded as he took in her words. He wanted to give her the part of him that she had loved. He hadn't noticed how much his lower legs were shaking a bit considering he couldn't feel them. Though he looked down and noticed it and decided to put himself back in his wheelchair. He grabbed the chair and slowly lowered himself down back into the trap. He unlocked the brakes and rolled over to the crate. He reached out for her hand and held it with one and rubbed his thumb across the back of her hand with the other. "I want to be here with you Steph. I hope I showed you that tonight." He said quietly looking back up at her eyes. He always got caught with her eyes he could never look away. He noticed the smile on her lips and the blush on her cheeks and that made his heart flop. He was happy he could see and be the reason she had become happy even if it was just for a moment.

He had showed tonight that he was willing to do many things for this girl. He hadn't smoked around her though it was silently reminding him as he felt the carton in his front pocket. He could wait though he knew Steph didn't like to see him with a cigarette. He also had been standing for the longest time since he had been back in town. He was going to be trying much harder now that he knew Steph possibly loved him. He was actually excited to go to his physical therapy session tomorrow. He was also gonna try and start to cut down on his smoking. He definitely wasn't going to be telling Steph about his chain smoking marathon he had been having before coming down to see her.

His eyes had drifted away from hers while he had gone into deep thought. He then brought them back to make eye contact with her, "I won't be leaving you and if I do leave I won't be saying goodbye to you..." He said quietly attempting to hold back a smirk as he left her hanging for a moment, "...i'll be asking you to come with me." He said smiling at her as he picked up her hand and kissed it lightly. He would definitely have to shave because he wasn't sure if Steph liked the stubble he had going on. He knew he wasn't going to leave but if something ever did come up unexpectedly he was going to ask Steph to come with him. He wanted to keep her in his life he was stupid for leaving before without saying anything.

"You're going to do what?" She asked in shock when he said he wouldn't be saying goodbye to her. For the past two conversations they had had she had tried to force it into his head that she needed that goodbye, he couldn't just walk off again without giving her any word on where he was going or when he'd be back. She was starting to get angry with him again until she heard the next part that fell from his lips. "You'd do what?" She asked almost the exact same question again, but this time there hadn't been as much anger as sadness in her voice. "You know I can't leave here." She said softly looking down. Had that meant that he had been planning a trip in the future to leave Point Pleasant again? Why would he say something like that, even though he had included her this time, but still she couldn't imagine leaving her family or her soccer career (however small it had been since she was just playing for the college).

She watched his hands against hers as she kept her hand limp in his letting him hold onto it. She then brought her attention back down to the chair letting out a soft sigh, she had liked seeing him not having to use it, but she knew it'd been too soon for him to stop all-together. "Is there anything I can do to help?" She asked softly talking about trying to get him to walk. She had tried to leave the last part of the conversation in the past, she didn't want to think about either of them leaving for quite some time. "I mean I don't know how good i'd be but I am sure I could work with you somehow?" She said with a slight shrug, she was good at motivating people so maybe that could help her get him to where he needed to be? She knew that he was taking physical therapy but maybe an extra bit of motivation couldn't hurt?

"I'm here for you, Aiden." She said softly looking up into his eyes with a very bright smile now. Sure she was still somewhat upset with him, but hearing that he wanted to be near her made her that much better. Better enough that she could somewhat forget about what had happened, why linger on the past when she had him right beside her in the present? "I mean I want to be here for you, Aiden." She corrected herself unsure of how much he'd want her in his life at that moment with everything he had going on.

Aiden nodded in knowing. Steph's life was here which was probably half the reason she hadn't taken the soccer thing. Though he knew he was also a part of the reason she hadn't done it. He felt ashamed of himself that she had chosen to just throw it away and partly because of him. He didn't want to think mostly because even if she did say he was a big part of her life he wasn't quite sure of how much, "I know you wouldn't want to leave and i'm not saying anytime soon. I like it being back here away from all the chaos. I'm just saying if a trip ever did pop up later on down the road I might ask you to go with me." He said with a half grin as he looked at her. He kept his eyes on her hand in his as he loved feeling a physical connection between them. He loved that she wasn't pulling away from him and seemed to at least enjoy his touch.

He knew she wanted to see him up and walking around again almost as bad as he did. This would help bring back his older image she had fallen in love with. He wanted so badly to bring that back for her so they could start working on them instead of just him. He shrugged his shoulders, "Obviously tonight just seeing you has given me help. That had to have been the longest time i've ever been out of this chair." He said wanting to let her in on that fun fact. He was glad that he had been able to do that with her in the mix. She was mostly his drive for wanting to become better. She didn't know it but she already was the driving force of his motivation otherwise he would probably be sulking around doing nothing to help himself. In fact he would be back in his apartment still chain smoking and watching tv.

"So I guess just seeing more of you would definitely help." He said with a playful grin as he caught her gaze and held it. He looked at her seriously as she said she was there for him. He slowly nodded taking this all in. So she did want to be a part of his life. "And I want you to be there for me Steph. Nothing would make me happier...believe me." He said keeping a serious look as his eyes looked over her face. He couldn't help but be in love with ever feature on her face. "And in turn I want to be there for you Steph. I know i've messed up in the past but I want to show you that I will be there for you during your happy times and your bad." He said hoping she wouldn't bring up the bad times. He just wanted to move on. He was burdened by the bad times enough hearing them from her all the time didn't help his mind though he did deserve it he wanted to move on now.

"Really?" She asked with a grin spreading across her lips after he'd said that'd been the longest he'd been out of the chair. "I'm impressed you could do it that long, it didn't hurt you did it?" She asked sounding partially worried. From the expressions on his face he didn't seem to be in pain, but Aiden was pretty good at hiding things from everyone. She had hoped that he wouldn't hide if he'd been in pain from her though, that is the last thing she needed him to do because if she started pushing him further each time she'd want him to let her know when enough was enough. "I'm just proud to be the one you did it for." She said with a sly grin, she knew she had been his number one, and she had a feeling he knew he'd been practically her number one.

"Be careful what you wish for," She said with a smirk as she looked over at him. "You might want me around but what if I keep showing up at random times never giving you a moments rest?" She asked, almost serious because she had done it before. Aiden had been there any hour of the day/night for when she needed him, and now that he was back she was going to take advantage and show up at his place as often as possible. It'd help them re-connect and hopefully it'd help him kick that nasty cigarette habit. "And now that you're back lets hope I don't have to go through anymore bad times." She said almost making it sound kind of cheesy as she let a grin spread across her lips. Aiden had always made her happy, she didn't know what it had been about him, but just everything about him made her completely content.

"How about we get out of here?" She asked standing up and walking behind his chair. She put her hands on the handles and turned him to push him out of the alley. She knew he could have done it, but she was going to let him relax as he had been using a lot of energy standing up and such. "So you too tired to go somewhere?" She asked having a good place in mind, but if he had been tired she didn't want to keep him out forcing him not to relax.

Aiden laughed and shook his head, "Nah I can't feel too much." He said poking his leg a few times, "Nothing...hopefully that will change soon." He said shrugging his shoulders as he looked from his legs to her. There was a smile plastered on his lips now that they were on good terms. He could see their relationship becoming good again. "I'm definitely glad it was you I could do it for too." He said softly as he grinned. He felt his face turn red for some odd reason like he should be embarrassed about the fact. He was definitely sure that he wanted Steph to be around him a lot while he was trying to recover so she could be his number one. She was so important to him he couldn't even turn that into words. Aiden then laughed, "I wouldn't mind seeing you all the time.." He said quietly lowering his eyes. He didn't know how that comment would fly with her but it had to be said. He was only truly happy when she was around. She was his better half and he knew it.

"I am positive you won't have anymore bad times. I mean you have me what else could go wrong?" He said with a smirk as he looked at her and winked playfully. He couldn't help but laugh afterwords because he had been so cheesy. Aiden definitely wouldn't mind getting out of there. He really wished that he could just get up out of his chair and walk away with her. He knew being in this chair would hinder his activity and that motivated him even more to get walking again. He slowly nodded as she stood up. He placed his hands on the wheels as if to start to push himself but he saw her go to the back of his chair. He took his hands off the wheels and let her push him. He felt a bit inferior with her doing this but he could see she really wanted him to relax after standing for so long. "I'm never tired to go anywhere with you." He said with a chuckle afterwords, "Jesus we are so cheesy." He said laughing as he looked up over his shoulder at her with a grin.

She had to laugh at his 'no more bad times, you have me' comment, wasn't he the one that had completely screwed her over making her life miserable in the first place by leaving? The two were actually having a good moment though so she didn't want to ruin it by bringing anything up like that, but of course since Stephanie was stubborn she always kept it at the back of her mind. She had a hard time letting things go like a normal person, she figured she got that trait from her father and brothers because they could hold grudges longer than usual, but this was something that even if she couldn't let it go she was going to at least try to put it as far back as she could get it.

"Speak for yourself," She said with a slight grin as she kept walking with him. She knew that there were moments where both were cheesy beyond belief, but she wasn't going to just admit it to him. "I am never cheesy," She teased somewhat giving him a soft chuckle as she walked down the street looking around. Something about pushing a wheelchair made her feel uncomfortable, like she shouldn't have to be doing this for her best friend because she was so used to walking with him, but even feeling ackward she didn't stop because she had a place to bring him, one that she thought would be a treat. "Nothing but rough road ahead," She laughed as she turned and cut onto some grass to get away from the main street and all the people staring.
