Lucas stood perched up in his booth as he watched the people below dance and move to his music flowing freely from the speakers. He loved the view from up here when he was watching people react to his music, but he did wish there'd been some sort of fan or air conditioner that'd been hitting him since after a while it became boiling hot up here. There were small fans pointed at the equiptment that the club had installed, but for the DJ's themselves they got nothing more than the breeze from the people moving below. He wiped off a drip of sweat that threatened his brow as he noticed the manager walking up to get into the booth.

"Getting hot up here?" Lucas heard the manager ask him as he looked at the man with the stupidest expression, "did you seriously just ask me that question?" He had to laugh, sometimes the manager could be such a moron. "I'm going to need you to go down and get some fresh air or something, maybe grab a drink, can't have you passing out up here." Lucas knew that this time had been coming, the manager was pretty good about giving the staff breaks when he could tell they needed them, so instead of arguing he just nodded and made sure he had the next tracks set up so he could leave the booth. "How much time I got chief?" The manager waved his hands in reply letting Lucas know that he could take his time, but of course he still needed to be back before the tracks he'd laid out were done.

He took his time making it down the stairs, but instead of going through the crowd to the bar he opted the safer route as he stayed close to the back and tucked out one of the side doors that only staff were allowed through. It landed him in the alley as he pulled out his pack of cigarettes feeling the breeze instantly cooling him as he thumbed one out and put it between his lips. He grabbed his lighter and fought with the breeze to get a good enough flame to light the cigarette, but when it'd happened Lucas took that first faithful drag having needed this for the past hour or so. He walked down the alley towards the main street just to see how big the crowd was near the door, and sure enough there had already been a line to get into the club. He loved knowing that all these people were here to hear his music and to dance to his beat.

He saw a group of girls up towards the front just as he finished the cigarette, so as he threw the spent butt he started towards the group stuffing his pack back into his pocket as he reached them near the door. "What's a gorgeous group of girls like you doing standing out here?" He motioned for them to follow him, his eyes catching those of a brunette who he'd immediately thought was gorgeous, and as a smirk spread to the corners of his lips he started walking towards the door. "Jeff, it's a sausage fest in there, let these ladies through." The rope was lifted as Lucas motioned the group in as he followed tucking beside the brunette that he'd caught eyes of outside, "can I buy you a drink?"

NOTES. so I know in your PM you said she could show up with some friends, so I thought that it'd be alright that he got her group into the club earlier and through the line without much waiting. I hope this is an alright start and hope I didn't god mod too much!
