hey there, i know it's hard to feel like i don't care at all
where you are and how you feel with these lights off
as these wheels keep rolling on and on, how are you when i'm gone?

Here she was, on a bus of rowdy officers as they drove out to Stockbridge and all for one purpose, celebrate the retirement of their oldest officer. Lieutenant Jacobs was a good man and was only in his seventies, but he was finally retiring from his job. He had officially been on the force for forty years, half of which was actually as a detective before he took a desk job because of his aging body. Either way, the man was well loved and even Fae looked up to the man like a fatherly figure. It was him she often went to in her time here when she felt like she didn't know what to do. So, Jacobs was family since he gave his wise advice to anyone that would listen and always had a tale of the good old days. Some reason, Fae couldn't help but think of her first day on the job in Point Pleasant and could remember how he was the one person that actually helped her through it all. Hell, he was even there when she shot her first person, and he could always make her feel better no matter how down she was. Certainly her friends did the same, but she also didn't tell them everything about what she does on the job, mostly because she doesn't know how to talk to them about such things. Which meant she often went to Jacobs when she had to talk about work and with his experience, he helped her through all of her problems.
"To Jacobs!" one of the officers shouted as he raised his glass in one hand while the other rested upon the shoulder of the man of honor. "To Jacobs," Fae chimed in with the rest of the crew as they all took a drink. Whiskey was Fae's poison, and she tossed it back with a smile on her lips and a twinkle in her blue eyes. Licking at her rosy lips, the bus soon came to a stop, and her eyes fixated upon the strip club outside. Shaking her head, Fae was not really surprised that this is the place Jacobs wanted to celebrate his retirement since he was a bit of a sleaze ball, just never with any of the women on the force, which was probably a good thing. With the officers exiting off the bus, they trotted on into the club and Fae was not far behind them. She was not much of a partier or even one for strip clubs. In fact, she had only been to this one a few times and each time was because her job demanded it. Even though Fae mostly did homicide, she also did other little jobs when the department was being overwhelmed with crime of a certain type. Though, Fae often preferred solving murders rather than resolving domestic abuse or returning stolen goods, but she did it all with pride since she knew every crime needed to be resolved in order to keep the town safe.
Within the club, most of the guys, including Jacobs, went up to the stage where the strippers were while Fae trotted her way towards the bar instead. She was not really interested in demeaning women in such a way since she believed that everyone should be treated equally, but she also didn't put down those who did this job. After all, everyone had to make money somehow and at least stripping was legal unlike some other professions women could do. Sitting at the bar, Fae ordered herself another glass of whiskey since she had finished hers off on the bus. Turning her gaze from the bartender, she watched the group of officers as they tossed up their singles and even got Jacobs a private lap dance. A small smile crossed her lips as she slowly shook her head while her left hand rose and pushed her red hair behind her left ear. It was also at that moment that a voice lingered into her ear and that caused her to turn and face who was speaking...----------------------------------------------------
