The car ride to he church he'd seen seemed to take forever and as they neared, Ava started to get a little nervous. Nothing abnormal, but what if they were rushing into this? She'd already had one failed marriage and...no, things with Jack were different. She'd always known that. Now, they were both ready.

They pulled up to the church and she found it slightly odd how it was still open...Hey, it beat Vegas, though.

He hesitated as he turned the car off. He had thought about this most of the awkward ride to the church and mostly into the parking lot. He didn't know if getting out of the car was going to be his next step. I mean life is to short right? you should get all the stuff over with that keeps you from just being happy... and married. Was he wrong to even be thinking this, he looked over to ava for a moment before glancing back at the church in front of him... not wrong.

"So, here we are..." Ava stated, matter f factly as they both just sat in the car, neither moving. She looked from the church to him, then back to the church again. It was a nice church and she guessed it would've been the same thing she would've chosen if they were doing this the regular way too. She looked at him again and took his hand. "We're really doing this, aren't we?" she asked him, wanting to make sure this wasn't a dream.

He heard her voice and looked over at her with a small smile before rubbing his finger in lazy circles on the back of her hand," Yeah..you ready to go in?" He asked a bit rhetorically as he tried to even persuade himself that this wasn't something he had thought up in his mind while he was high in the back of his car.

Ava nodded. "Yeah..." she said, then added "...and no too." She knew she couldn't lie to him and chances were that if she was nervous, he was too. "I mean, I love you and I want this...I've wanted this for a while, it's just...I want it to work. I want us to work and what if..what if marriage ruins what we have.."

His hand moved off of the handle of the car door and faced her in the seat. He shook his head, "I get where your coming from..I do. I've wanted you since the day I met you back in high school. I loved you then as much as I do now..I mean sure there is gonna be hard times that no matter what are gonna be tough and are gonna test us but thats what we do, that's what we've done this whole time. We go through the bad times and come out even stronger with the odds in our favor. I'd give everything up to be with you Ava and thats not gonna change wether we do this now or we don't at all." He told her.

OOC: It would be awesome if we could get everyone back and do like a high school reunion. I'm not sure, but I may have the PM all option...

Ava knew he was right. Since the first day they'd met, things had been a fight for them and somehow it had all lead them here, this moment. Even a year ago, she never would have expected them to get here, but now this was it. "I think...we should do it." Ava said honestly to him, after thinking a minute. "If we don't then one of your ex-girlfriends will come back to town pregnant or I'll end up marrying someone else or someone will die and it will never be the right time. We're here and after tonight, it'll be something we can look at and know that we finally had our chance."

He leaned over and kissed her cheek before undoing his seat belt and opening his door. This time there was no hesitation as he got out of the car and made his way over to her door. He felt as though he was doing this for the first time as he opened the door for her with a smile. "Let's do this." He added.

Ava smiled as he came around and she nodded, taking his hand as she stepped out of the car. Her nerves were still there, but she could feel them subsiding, knowing he was there and he really wanted this too. They were about to start inside, when she stopped him. "Wait.." she said, pulling him towards her, her hand still in his as she faced him. She smiled. "Thank you..." she said knowing he'd be confused. "For just being you and always being you."

He smiled gently as he squeezed her hand reassuringly. He leaned forward and kissed her gently before beginning to walk inside. He held the door open as he walked in waiting for her to follow. He hadn't been in a church in so long he almost felt nervous just being inside. He kept a firm hold of her hand to make sure she was still with him and he wasn't alone on this.

She followed him inside, taking notice of the slightly firm grip he kept on her hand. It sort of made her smile.

The first thing that caught her eye was the church's beauty. It looked like it was at least 100 years old, maybe more. "Where do we go?" she asked Jack, unsurely, turning to face him.

"Not sure, you think they have a desk..or a bell or something." He said trying humor. He glanced around and admired the beauty of the stain glass and old wood, it was definitely the right place for them to be tonight to do this. He took a step forward before he heard the clearing of a throat and pivoted. There was a set of stairs that an older gentleman with a collar coming up from. "May I assist you?" He asked sensing their confusion.

"A bell?" Ava questioned, laughing a little and looking around some more before she heard someone behind then. She turned to see a man who she assumed was the minister there...well, the collar made that evident. "Yes..I mean, I hope so.." she replied, smiling at the man and giving Jack's hand a small squeeze. "Um, we were hoping to be married."

The old man looked contemplative at the couple for a moment before speaking again, " It's a it late for a wedding." He said with a drawl of a pause before clearing his throat and nodding, "I s'pose you've got your affairs in order,rings and such?" He asked. Jack replied almost right away, "Well uh no- no rings really- right now at least." He said cursing himself for forgetting such a big part of a ceremony.

Ava had forgotten about rings too. Did this mean that they couldn't get married? She wasn't sure. "Sir? Uh, your holyness?" she said unsure of just what to call him. "If you can't do this tonight we'll understand it's just... We've waited a long time for this to happen and something always seems to go wrong. And I refuse to believe that God or someone is telling us that we aren't meant to be because I know we are. I can feel it so if there is any way to bypass rings.... Please."
