The bus ride from New York to Pleasant seemed to take forever, but that didn't bother Becca in the least. She wasn't exactly looking forward to living with her paranoid brother again...and his fiancee or whatever they were. She'd heard something about a wedding, but didn't know what had happened with that. She'd met Ava many times before though and she definitely approved of her for a sis-in-law. Well, who wouldn't approve? Ava was great.

The long bus ride had also given the student time to work on the homework she wanted to get out of the way before she arrived in town and her break officially began. The homework of question wasn't exactly dreaded though. No, Becca loved fashion school...more than anything. Designing was her passion and always had been and she'd been lucky enough to get a scholarship to one of the best schools in the country. She was just a freshman, but she was showing lots of promise.

As soon as the bus pulled in, she gathered her things and hurried off the bus as she'd done years before when she'd first arrived in Pleasant to meet her brother, Jack Riley. He was supposed to meet her this time and she walked around looking, but alas, he wasn't there. Late? More likely forgot she was arriving. She sighed and sat on a nearby bench, looking around.[/center]

Blake pulled up in front of the bus station, he got out of his truck and looked around. Ava had called him out of the blue and asked him if he could go pick up Jack's little sister at the bus station, he didn't know why she was asking him, but he didn't want to be a jerk. Why should some random young lady suffer because of his shortcomings? So he went to pick her up being the nice guy he is, as a favor to her, not Jack and Ava. Blake grabbed a little notebook out of his truck and wrote BECCA on it and held it up like a chaufer at the airport, waiting for Becca to arrive.

Becca didn't know Ava's ex Blake that well and had only heard of him in passing or in a strand of various profanities from her brother, so she didn't recognize the man holding the sign with her name on it. Okay? Confused, she stood, hung her purse over her shoulder and walked towards him. "I'm guessing you're here for me." she told him, wondering who the hell he was the whole time. "Unless there are lots of Becca's in town...which, knowing this place, I highly doubt." She grinned at him. Whoever he was, he wasn't bad to look at. Maybe her brother had set up some sort of blind date? A girl could dream, couldn't she?

Blake laughed again "Good point, well if you're Jack's sister you're the right Becca" He said with a shrug as he briefly checked her out, who knew Jack would have such a hot sister. "Um, can i help you with your bags?" He asked as he threw the notepad in his truck, then smiled back at her.

Becca grinned. "Jack's half-sister, but yeah." she corrected, nodding. "Unless there is some other Jack-Becca combination.." She laughed and handed him her duffel bag as he asked if he could help. Other than her purse, it was the only bag she had with her. Unlike most girls, Becca liked to travel light. Then again, she'd never really had a lot of possessions to take places. "Thanks." she said, starting for the passenger side of the truck. She got inside and started flipping through a stack of cds that were scattered between the two of them. "Dashboard Confessional, huh?" she said, raising an eyebrow.

He smirked as he took her duffel bag and put it in the back of the truck. Blake got into the drivers side as he heard her mention his Dashboard Confessional cd "Its for those sad and lonely moments." He joked with a nod as he started the truck "So where to Becca?" He asked "I'm Blake by the way" He added as he realized he hadn't told her who he was yet.

"So you're sad and lonely?" Becca questioned, though in a joking manner. He didn't seem that way, though she knew that looks could often deceive too. She didn't know him after all. Thinking about his question, she replied "Um, I'm okay for wherever, but my guess is you were instructed to bring me straight home right?" She laughed, knowing her brother all too well...though she didn't know Blake was here because of Ava, not Jack. "Hmmm..how about we keep me brother on edge for a little bit longer and just...go somewhere fun?" she suggested.

Blake shrugged "Yeah something like that." He said with a small chuckle "So are you lookin to eat or something or to just blow off some steam?" he asked her as he took the truck out of park and pulled out of the bus station parking lot, heading for where ever they want.

"Um..." Becca thought about it. "...food." she finally said, realizing she hadn't eaten since she'd boarded the bus early that morning and now it was middle of the afternoon. "As long as it's not Cafe Pleasant. I have a feeling I'm going to be eating there a lot."

He laughed a little at her Cafe Pleasant comment "Well what are you craving?" Blake asked Becca "Taco Bell, McDonalds, Pizza Putt" He listed the local eaterys as he drove around town, waiting for a direction to head towards. While he was driving, Blake couldn't help but steal a couple glances of Becca, she was definitely a looker.

"Hmmm...tacos?" she suggested. "I don't really care." she added, honestly. "So whatever is close by, I guess." She started fumbling through the cds again, not noticing that he was looking at her. Unlike her broody brother, she was normally very talkative, but right now she was content to let him ask the questions...well, maybe. "So are most of your favorite bands so whiny and dramatic?" she teased, looking over the covers and then over at him with a small smirk.

Blake headed to taco bell after she said tacos, then he heard her remark about his cd collection a laughed a bit. "Naw, i like punk and ska too" He said defending himself "I'm just going through a tough time right now" He added dramatically, just joking with her. "What kind of music do you like?" He asked Becca as they got closer to taco bell.

"Ahh so you're the broody type.." she teased again, laughing to herself. No wonder he's friends with Jack... "Though, I must admit, you don't look broody and introverted to me." she added, honestly. He seemed like the type of guy who liked to have fun. Becca was good at reading people for the most part and she wondered if she was right about him too. "A little bit of everything." Becca replied at his question. "I guess it depends the mood I'm in and the setting. Like normally I hate all things Spears related, but at a club she doesn't sound too bad.." She laughed a little. "Yes, I'm a freak, I know. Jack likes to remind me of that fact often."

Blake laughed and shook his head "No, I'm not really the broody type, i just like the broody music" He said with a shrug. "But I don't mind Britney Spears much...on mute." He added with a laugh as they pulled up in front of Taco Bell. "So do you wanna go in or just go through the drive-thru?" Blake asked as he looked over at Becca with a smile.

"Mute, huh?" Becca replied, watching as they got closer to Taco Bell. "Um..we could drive thru, then head to the beach or something?" she suggested, not really caring. The weather was nice, so she figured the beach would be kind of fun. She'd always loved Pleasant for the beach. You didn't have beaches like that in New York.
